It's bugged. There's been some bitching about it on Reddit already. Not showing Last Played Opponent and not showing the progress toward your next 10 gold are both bugs introduced last patch.

Think I may have played you earlier today?

Yep, you EU or something though? Definitely wasn't anything 6:27ish in US times probably 3:27 EST. Think that was the game immediately after the MC Tech nonsense, had a short trigger for playing more at that point, heh. [Since he didn't capture my life, it was a 25+ life concede, might have even been 30 life - but with board state I knew how things were going - even not knowing about that Flamestrike in hand, ugh]

Have any of the rest of you noticed a problem friending folks lately? About 3/4 of the time seemingly since the last patch when I go to friend someone after a match their name does not show up in the You last played so and so spot so I can't friend them. Just me? Is it because I have 56 people on my list and Blizz can't imagine someone actually being that friendly?
Seen no rhyme or reason to it to add to it - probably all one interconnected error though, because the times a card displays in hand in the wrong place after a "forced card generation" (like Saraad/Spare Parts/Ysera) and someone plays it out of a different spot seem to match up with when they don't display as "Last Played".

I'm thinking there's some sort of "memory" (as in remembering all those tracked things - card location in hand, progress towards 10 wins, Last Played) issue with the server or something going on that will all be fixed at the same time when it gets solved.

Ok so arena ass per ya'll unless you get mega lucky/godlike at it and winning 8 games. (I think I'd rather you get a random pool of like 50 cards and build from that, I've noticed losing out building one type of deck just not knowing I was going to pull so much support for a card subsequently)

So as a very low card count person, should I still be buying TGT or enough key critical cards in base set I should get them instead? Surprised it's not like DOC in that the older stuff gets discounted.

Classic Packs will give you the most value right now. There's just too many core classic cards you need to be competitive. GVG and TGT cards are used to fill holes for the most part.

Played a days worth of a Midrange Hunter deck with Wrangler yesterday. That card goes from 0-100 like no other card I've ever played. Rag is maybe the next closest fuck you, but even Ragnaros can't do what Wrangler has done for me in some of these games.

Especially if the beast you are playing off of is Tundra Rhino, "Your beasts have charge". Can be pretty fun.

Damn RNG. Warlock has no minions, 1 card in hand.

I have 3 minions and lethal next turn, I only have 4 life left.

He draws a card, plays a knife juggler, plays imp implosion that hits one my creature for 4 and dies...so I have 2 creatures on the board and still lethal next turn...except all 4 damage from knife juggler from the 4 imps goes to my face to kill me.

All I need was for 1 damage to hit one of my creatures.

Found this over on Reddit, quote from blizzard 1 year ago about Leeroy:

Leeroy Jenkins created a strategy that revolved around trying to defeat your opponent in one turn without requiring any cards on the board. Fighting for board control and battles between minions make an overall game of Hearthstone more fun and compelling, but taking 20+ damage in one turn is not particularly fun or interactive.

I think combo decks have a place. It's just when they get too easy to assemble that it becomes a problem. if I leave a emperor up for 5 turns I don't mind getting hit for 20 damage. If I kill him ASAP and still die to the combo it becomes a problem

Combo is always going to be a problem in this due to lack of interactions on opponents turn. The random nature of who you meet in ladder with no sideboards is also an issue. Combo has traditionally been kept in check by having best of 3 matches with big sideboard hate.

Interactive, depends but most of the time he is correct. Fun, well they would depend on the person wouldn't it.

What's your point though? Patron warrior receiving a nerf is a given, its just a question of how long blizzard takes.

I think the only real way they have to fix it with the current setup is hand disruption, but I don't know if they'd ever go that route because of "anti-fun" or somesuch. Even if they did that'd be a whole expansion away.

What they really need is a tournament format where you play best of 3s, or can bring multiple decks, etc.

If otk needs to go, maybe the best fix for patron would be to change frothing to only gain attack when a FRIENDLY minion takes damage. No more punishing for having any minions, this removes the fifty damage empty board combos, and would still leave a viable deck.

Any nerfs to patron warrior have to address Warsong Commander. And I don't care if it kills the deck or not. Charge is a mechanic that requires constant watching because it's too easy to abuse. Personally I'm in favor of turning her effect into an aura that grants friendly minions charge if they have 3 or less attack. That stops the crazy frothing blow outs and helps make future design easier.

Combo decks aren't a problem. Warsong Commander is a problem.
Either nerf Warsong or make more cards that counter Charge that aren't Taunt.
When you can get infinite charging minions, relying on Taunt minions isn't going to fly. You need ways to prevent the charge altogether.
