I still have high hopes for Ramp. Only reason I backpedaled at all is because she is limited to select decks. The cards being released will help Ramp a lot imo.

Aviana does not seem good to me. I don't understand the comparisons to Emperor either. Emperor is a blatantly great card and is not comparable to Aviana at all. I mean just because they both reduce the cost of minions in some way? It's like comparing Loatheb to Troggzor. One of these cards isa lotbetter than the other.

What's a good/fast TB deck this week? I'm at a bit of a loss. I find this TB really clunky and slow. I've only played 3 games, but meh. Is this week just bad for farming gold via TB? Seems like it.

I'm not sold on Aviana. It's a GREAT ability. There's no question about that. But at 9 mana for a 5/5 body it just seems really hard to pull off.
How many cards does a ramp druid typically have in hand at turn 9? The card is nothing but a 5/5 if you are top decking, I'd rather have an Ancient of Lore.

I've played a lot of ramp Druid the past few months in my quest to get a golden portrait and I rarely, if ever, end up top decking. Was watching Strifecro last night and I think he's right. Aviana should be able to pull off some pretty sweet turn 8/9/10 shenanigans for a huge tempo swing. Aviana + Cenarius or AoW after your opponent has already used a lot of removal on Dr. Seven, Rag, Belchers, and Emp? Sounds good to me. Then you can dump the rest of your big creatures next turn.

This season definitely feels a bit different. It's MUCH more competitive and everyone is bringing their A Game. Even at the crappy ranks. I think giving awards based on your highest rank is causing this and I also think it was LONG overdue.

I ran a mostly standard Quick Druid (1 copy of Force/Roar) with the usual mid tier shit (spider tank over shades, no DotC Belchers instead) with 2 Ironbarks, AoW, Sylv, Cairne, Emp and Shredders won every game I played but only played a few for a quest.
you could also go for the extremely rare but funny combo of Anivia + Malygos + Innervate + double Faceless copying Malygos + double Moonfire face

I really hope that Blizzard is paying attention to the stats of this game since announcing the new reward structure. There are so many fucking Patron Warriors out there it's disgusting. Everyone knows that Patron Warrior is head and shoulders above every other deck in the meta right now so everyone is running it.
For shits and giggles I went over to Tempostorm to look at their Meta Snapshot. I wasn't surprised to find Patron #1 again. I expected that. But it explained why all of the Patron Warriors are now running double Shield Blocks... Lifecoach did it last season and that's the deck list they have featured. So every Patron Warrior out there right now is using that exact same build.

Ha yea, it would be a OTK deck though, can't fit it into a Ramp druid deck at all. OTK decks are very inconsistent usually. For the OTK combos you probably need to modify the mill druid list a bit. Basically gotta survive until you can draw your entire deck. The other OTK I posted of Aviana + Innervate + Alex + Rag + Faceless sounds more fun and puts a lot of big minions on board to help finish off the opponent if they happen to survive a turn (armor).
I already modded my list. Skeleton Knight just seems bad, and was only BGH target, so removed. Basically only using 2 new cards: Aspirants & Aviana. However due to Aviana I have both Ysera and Cenarius in the list. There's a ton of tweaking room though. Could easily add in Rag/Dr Boom/Tech Cards. Definitely gotta play with it some and modify around the meta. Right now there are 0 BGH targets which is nice so adding Rag/Boom probably isn't that great.

One of the non-CM Blizzard guys did say that they were keeping an eye on patron warrior. Now, how far from that to doing something is anybody's guess, but at least they are past the "we don't have any plans to..." threshold.
I'm fine with not playing minions with less than three attack past turn seven, but not being able to have a board at all or risk dying to a frothing is so stupid and infuriating.

You should also make a habit of checking the Liquid Hearth power ranking articles. While their rankings are a bit less useful since they rank decks according to their objective power in both ladder and tournament play, they put a lot more effort into providing multiple up to date decklists than Tempostorm does.
Zalae is the one who added double shield block to Patron, Waffster (who was the rank 1 player at the time) cut one of those blocks to add Harrison.
that wasn't really Lifecoachs invention though and besides that, Patron warriors need ways to mill through their decks for the combo pieces and SB allows to do just that while also giving you +5 effective health
