I saw rhonin in an aggro warrior deck and I think he may fit even better there as opposed to control warrior since he can refill your hand when low and/or put more minions on the board. Only problem is its a turn 10 play in an aggro deck.

I just played against a control Shaman with Mistcaller. It seemed extremely powerful in a control deck. I was playing as control Warrior. He played it on turn 6. I conceded when I had 1 card left and he had 2. That is insane value generated by Mistcaller. I was dealing with 4/6 Belchers and Al'Akir, 5/4 Shredders, 6/6 Loatheb, etc. all game. It was brutal. Obviously, if you don't draw it until late or are playing against aggro, the value is much less, but the same could be said about alot of cards (justicar, emperor, etc.). I think it will be a staple card in any control shaman deck (and probably midrange too). Played on curve, it is quite powerful.

Edit: Also, a lot of pros are running a Reynad-made Dragon Priest which incorporates Dragonkin Sorcerers and Eydis Darkbane... so there's another Legendary which might become "must have". Reynad got to Legend Rank 15 with it
Where do you see lists with Darkbane in them, I don't see it in Reynads. Actually looking at that list makes me kind of happy (or I guess sad since now everyone will be running it), as its pretty similar to what I ended up cobbling together. Though I don't think either of our decks are ideal yet.

Just played a control Warrior mirror where we both played Justicar. 25 minutes later I lost in fatigue. Not the most exciting type of match.

Public Service Announcement: If you are interested in laddering, rank 5 is swarmed with Shaman, Pally's, and Warriors. Deck accordingly.

Oh you're right, Reynad's list doesn't have Darkbane... Lothar is streaming a list that is very similar which has Darkbane included, and it actually seemed good. I saw him use her to kill a Shredder with the effect after casting Velen's on her.

Also saw another streamer running something very close, might have been TidesofTime.

I compiled a bunch of Varian plays from last night (and also included is the laughable Aviana play mentioned last page):

Out of my 50 packs I got Eadric, Rhonin and Chillmaw. I think I will craft Justicar though, because I really like this paladin deck.

The more people playing paladin there are, the more easy wins I can cruise to with Patron. FEED MY CLIMB TO LEGEND

The meta is fucked right now, almost everyone is playing control warrior and midrange shaman. Absolutely no aggro. I've played a beast druid and a control hunter, both decks seem not good enough, especially control hunter.

Decks take time to mature though, can't just slap things together Day 1 and expect it to be OPOP. Beast Druid might actually turn out to be decent eventually. Nobody really expected Control Hunter to become a thing but Mid-Range hunter was certainly good prior to TGT so you should expect it will still be decent.

You won't see a solid meta for at least a couple months. This is the same shit that happened with GvG. Things were in flux for a long time.

Mark my words, control hunter will not happen, or at best it will be a vaguely viable deck that remains near the bottom of every power ranking and meta snapshot. I don't see how beast druid will ever be better than midrange druid, which I believe will become more of a meta presence again when Patron warrior dies. Druid of the Saber is the only really good druid beast they've printed and neutral beasts suck because of Hunter. Wildwalker is not Houndmaster and Knight of the Wild is not Highmane. The resurgence of normal midrange druid will bring tempo mage back in a big way since druid is their best matchup. The new variants of midrange paladin have an even more favorable matchup against control warrior, but the bad matchups remain the same. The deck is still terrible against patron and bad against hybrid hunter, although it might be lightly favored against midrange hunter. The real question about the future of midrange pally is how many of its bad matchups return to the meta with patron warrior gone, like priest.

Here's Sjow's take on Dragon Warrior for post TGT.

Also here's my first take on a very aggressive mage deck. Haven't played a single game with it yet, so obviously no tuning has been done yet.

you'll probably need 2x owl to get through the million taunts atm. I can't see a deck like that working too well tbh, hunter has a better hero power for going face. I think you're going to run out of steam quickly.

Poly:Boar can help with that!

Yeah I didn't open any poly boars but it probably belongs in the deck

*edit*

Other problem is that with all those 1 health minions, it's yet another deck that's terrible against patron.

Eh which midrange pally, there is like 4 completely different decks right now in the meta, and they don't remotely play the same.

Uther gone wild is 100% win rate on all shamans, favorable against priests, and can beat patron/control warrior.

I think there's a decent chance that control/mill rogue is a thing with the minion heavy aggro and beneath the grounds now. Or something in that way.
