haha.. wow, ok. I'm finally on the 'hate on the RNG' bandwagon. I'm playing paladin and have 6 minions out to his 1, Silver hand + squire, 2 recruits, silvermoon guardian w/shield and an almost dead yeti. Any one of which survives and he's dead next turn (he's at 4 life, blessing of kings in hand). He casts brawl and his one minion comes out alive. RNGesus indeed.

Brawl almost never sees play but damned if it always seems to work out that way the fraction of times I see it used.

My worst RNG was yesterday when I played a mad bomber when the opponent had 3 minions on the board and it ended up killing my 4/3. What are the odds on that 1 in 216?

7x Guardian of Kings with plenty of lowend support is proving hilariously effective in Arena...

I feel like Mad Bomber is too janky, only time its strictly in your favor is if you are empty and they have a ton of minons, in which case you are already getting fucked over. I still take it in the arena at times because value, but for constructed I'd rather run Faerie Dragon, Ooze, or even Raptors. Its not the greatest late drop and dropping early has too much potential to backfire.

Guardian - the 7 cost 5/6 heal 6 dude.

Do have 3x BoK in the lowend support though.

Usually underrate him, but first 2-3 were forced by options and after that I was just like screw it, got a bunch already, lets see how he works when there's effectively 80+ HP to the deck.

Well see that's the thing isn't it because I don't really see what the advice is being offered here or even if I agree with it. If a suggestion is been made to take bad cards just to fill out a curve I really don't think I agree. I could have 29 cards in my deck and only 3 2 drops and I'd still think an azure Drake is a better choice than a Mana Addict
Sometimes you just generally get shafted in drafts. of course don't pick mana addict over drake, but then later in the draft you may have to take something like a raptor over a boulderfist ogre if the opportunity presents itself. I would however take something like sunfury protector over drake if I already had a few 5's and a lot of late game though because I know I'll be good if I make it to late game and sunfury protector increases that chance exponentially. But yeah, sometimes the choices are so bad you're pigeonholed into a bad curve.

Not saying you mad bad picks, just telling you why the deck didn't go much further.

Alright so here we have plenty of low-drops and no card draw. Who thinks it'll out perform my last deck?

Before anything is said, the 2nd BGH was taken over a Hungry Crab and a Southsea Capt.

I think that's a really good deck with the exception of Light's Justice (really, I'd never draft that). It'd be nice if you had an Ogre or two as well at the high end to help seal the deal, but you should do pretty well. The Argent Protector's and Sword of Justice will go a long way. Shame you didn't get a Cult Master

Hungry Crab can be pretty funny, sometimes you get to eat other players' murloc and he has to deal with a decent mob on top of it...

Woah, Hungry Crab eats your opponents stuff too? Man, I've gotta read stuff like that better.

My light's justice choices were really really bad. I think it was like wisp and murloc raider.

A single light's justice is not actually a bad pick. Yeah there's lots of things I'd rather have, but it's far from worthless.

If I was to guess I would've projected 3 or 4. Has a couple missing synergies too - like you have all the Divine Shield guys, but you had very few fatties to defend with it to make insane trades with DS - divine shield dudes are just mediocre when you have a lack of fat to put it on amongst other issues.

Yeah I didn't feel too great about it. Hilariously enough 1 of my losses was to a Murlock rush deck. Guess I should've taken the hungry crab.

Started playing Ranked yesterday...Win streaked down to 13 so far using a fairly garbage hunter deck. Only losses are to Druid Control so far.

When you play a lot of MTG you take for granted how many people fuck themselves with poor land/mana management...For the most part, the enforced mana rules in Hearthstone level the playing field a great deal...Making weaker players a little stronger and the field just a little tighter.

Why should I play more than 20 lands ?!

On the other hand, you get spared all the embarrassing losses where you get 0-1 or 5+ lands

I like what ancient has been doing (and I'm sure others as well ) - posting your arena draft and talking about what worked well and what roadblocks existed. Gonna try to start doing the same. I'm sure there are plenty of people here that find arena to be much more enjoyable than constructed.
