I've been playing a Control/Anti-Aggro Hunter to rank up through all the Zoo:

2x Hunter's Mark
1x Tracking
2x Elven Archer
2x Arcane Shot
2x Unstable Ghoul
2x Haunted Creeper
2x Freezing Trap
2x Explosive Trap
2x Acolyte of Pain
2x Eaglehorn Bow
2x Deadly Shot
2x Chillwind Yeti
2x Defender of Argus
1x Explosive Shot
1x Sludge Belcher
1x Loatheb
2x Savannah Highmane

Basically just gum up the board with crappy low drops that are annoying to trade with, while mashing Hunter hero power - save your Hunter's Marks for Doomguard or big Voidcallers. Finish game off with a Highmane/Bow/Hero power while sitting behind taunted minions.

Match up against everything else Aggro focused is okay too, and I can usually beat Miracle Rogue if I find a Deadly Shot by turn 5. Ice Mage and Control Priests are mostly unwinnable though.

Ragnaros is probably an ideal card for the deck as a finisher but don't have one.

Weblord prevents Leeroy combos (triple Leeroy via Shadowstep, 20 damage via PO+Faceless, etc.,). Only real upside to him I think, otherwise he doesn't do much of anything. Basically I'd run him as a one-off (paired with Loatheb) if Miracle were an issue for a deck and I was running into it a lot. Because so often you're one turn away from your own lethal, happens to me on Druid a ton vs Miracle. But I haven't seen Miracle on ladder lately.

I'm really curious to see how Stoneskin Gargoyle+Cultist+Northshire+Taunt givers work out for Priest. Also I ran into a Paladin running Stoneskin+BoK. Worked out pretty well for him as a turn 3/turn 4 play. I barely won because of a lucky Brawl.

I just ran into an anti zoo druid deck. The hatred for zoo is unreal lol. I find it more entertaining to play against zoo than any rogue deck, or slow paladin/priest control decks.

I thought about doing this with my pally deck but if you don't pull BoK the gargoyle itself is completely worthless for a 3 mana card.

They need to add "damage shields" already... such an easy mechanic, and yet so great for game design and balancing.

For example, the Gargoyle as it stands is next to worthless for (3) 1/4. Yet if you buffed either of its stats to 2/4 or 1/5 it would be a little overpowered.

Fix? (3) 1/4, Damage Shield;1 (Whenever this minion takes damage, deal 1 damage to the source). That way you couldn't attack the face for 2 with it, but it'd be a slightly better at fighting minions early on than it is now. The problem with HS is that the stats are so small that it leaves little room for error or adjustment. Creatures are often underpowered or overpowered by a single stat point. So why not have something like a Damage Shield or hell "Attack Power." You could fix the abundance of agro over night. Take an attack away from Flame Imp, Knife Juggler, Doomguard, etc and give them X attack power, which only applies on minions or when attacked by a weapon. So many problems fixed over night imo. It'd fix all the lame decks that go straight for the face and encourage interactivity.

I'm convinced that the new egg zoo is actually worse than the old zoo. It's to slow for the deck, and because it slows it down, I'm actually winning the majority of my fights vs it with my pally. It slows it down for a turn and that's all I need to get to easy removal or taunt wall territory.

Zoo can never be slow because of the curve, it works on the assumption they you have to play cards because on turn 5 you're expected to discard 2

Well, the new zoo is definitely slower, but more resilient/inevitable. Like the changes to hunter before the rise of miracle rogue.

yeah the point of the eggs (and creeper which i don't personally like) is that they are your insurance against a board wipe. Yes, they slow you down as far as shitting out a ton of damage goes, but the upside is that IF you get knocked out by something like consecrate, nova, etc, you have one or two 4/4's to get right back in the game with to start rebuilding your board.

Paladin was always pretty good against Zoo (see Koyuki season 1). With the mid-range double-taunt that Sludge Belchers offer and Humility now being included so you have 3-4 cards that can neuter Doomguard, it is substantially better.

I don't know about that. Loatheb is a great counter to Miracle as are Sludge Belchers (you have to remove them twice, not fun) and both fit really well into Paladin.

Miracle is still a great deck and with perfect draws it still can't really lose, but a lot of its match ups got considerably weaker than they were and it doesn't take much to tip a deck out of the top spot.

Well despite what I said yesterday, I played more control warrior tonight. In rank 3 going for my 2nd Legendary season. Not sure I can deal with this shit tho. It's by far my least favorite deck of all times.

Probly going to switch around with Hunter deck since these last 3 ranks are super grindy.

Is the next wing going to be opened on Tuesday or on midnight Wednesday?

Seems a lot of Zoo are running x2 Void Terror now to dodge the AoE's and control Warriors running Unstable Ghoul. Really frustrating when you can't draw your Executes. Just played a Lock that had a full board of minions I got to 1 health, dropped an Unstable Ghoul and he merely Power Overhwlemings his Egg and Void Terrors. Then does it again next turn and I can't find execute. Fuck Warlocks/Zoo so hard... this game is such a sad tragedy sometimes. I wish the adventures were more meaningful and had more content and I'd just rarely ever play against other human beings. The sad thing is the adventure concept has a shit ton of potential (think a world map where you can progress through different areas/zones/raids) with creative environments etc. Could be so cool. Shame they'll never fully realise the potential.
If anyone knows the old MTG Shandalar pc game, that's kinda like your idea and it was awesome. Unfortunately I think you're right, Blizzard isnt going to put in the effort needed to expand the pve side of the game in that direction.

Can you post your primary decks. I was rank 3 last season but have had problems getting back there just yet. In all fairness I've been playing a wide variety of decks to playtest. When I play my version of control Warrior consistently I do go up the ranks. But I'd like to change it up.

How's it been going? I've been wanting to play a control Hunter lately. Is Gladiator's Bow really not worth it? I hate that card, but if you don't need it for creatures it's still a good 10 damage to the face. Such a shame Stoneskin Gargoyle isn't a beast, then maybe it'd be playable. I put a Pyromancer in in place of an Arcane Shot and put an Abomination in place of one Haunted Creeper, works well.

Does anyone know when the Military Quarter opens up? Is it midday today (Tuesday) like the Arachnid Quarter was, or is it going to be midnight again??
