I would think Kirin Tor Mage is an activated effect that would override the underlying universal effect of Loatheb. I would think Hunter's Mark is a spell that costs 0 mana and therefore should have its cost changed to 5 after Loatheb, assuming no other global effects are present.Uggggh.
Ummm I just played a game where my opponent dropped Loatheb and next turn my Hunter's Mark was still 0. Is it supposed to be that way or was that a bug? I've been wondering that about Loatheb (re: free spells, such as casting a Kirin Tor Mage or whatever... in MTG there is a distinction between "0" and "free" but there isn't really the same thing for HS... or maybe there is?) I swear I've seen Soulfire cost 5 mana since dropping Loatheb, but my Hunter's Mark was definitely 100% free.
I thought it might be that way, because during the first week I felt like I had "access" before everyone on my friends list. Interesting. So apparently the hearthstone devs are a bunch of retards and what triggers the opening of naxx is your local date/time. Change your date to 1week from now and you can buy the wing. Can't play it though, but lets you skip the shit with the buying bugs and what not, probably not worth the risk to your account. Fucking stupid though.
Correct. You can pop your own guys with it too (Acolyte of Pain for example)Why is the mage hero ability so shitty? is it only 1 damage because it's not restricted on who you can target the fireball at? unlike say the hunter's only hitting the hero?
It just seems super underwhelming compared to everybody elses
thats exactly the reason they have given, for example you can target minions hiding behind a taunt unlike rogue /druidWhy is the mage hero ability so shitty? is it only 1 damage because it's not restricted on who you can target the fireball at? unlike say the hunter's only hitting the hero?

I totally didn't even think of that. Neato.Correct. You can pop your own guys with it too (Acolyte of Pain for example)
Warlock is, far and away, the top tier hero ability. But Mage probably comes in second. Also it kind of changes as the game goes on, for super late game I actually think Paladin has the best hero ability. Rogue has the best early game hero power, but it is otherwise middle of the pack. Priest, Warrior, and Hunter are at the bottom. Druid is either second or third overall. Why is the mage hero ability so shitty? is it only 1 damage because it's not restricted on who you can target the fireball at? unlike say the hunter's only hitting the hero?

Apparently he's hilariously cheesable. If you get through his 2 (3?) weapons and clear the 3 horsemen, all he has for face damage is 2 frostbolts and 4 drain lifes. Everything else is minion-only or buffs and he won't play anything if you don't. 2 Pains, 1 Kodo and 2 Oozes will cause him to fatigue himself.Heroic Baron seems pretty easy, looks like he destroys any cards that hit multiple cards.
So single elimination cards like Kodo work
I just want to add that the warlock hero power is not the best in arena. The warlock power is relative to the quality of cards in your deck, so the better your deck is the better the hero power is.Warlock is, far and away, the top tier hero ability. You can kind of see the trend. The best hero powers either give you card advantage or effect the board. Priest's is bad because, even though it does effect the board, it does so only reactively.
How do you distinguish bots from bad players?Seems like bots are everywhere now. Seeing streamers play against a bot quite often lately and just played two in a row myself.
