Uggggh.

Ummm I just played a game where my opponent dropped Loatheb and next turn my Hunter's Mark was still 0. Is it supposed to be that way or was that a bug? I've been wondering that about Loatheb (re: free spells, such as casting a Kirin Tor Mage or whatever... in MTG there is a distinction between "0" and "free" but there isn't really the same thing for HS... or maybe there is?) I swear I've seen Soulfire cost 5 mana since dropping Loatheb, but my Hunter's Mark was definitely 100% free.

I would think Kirin Tor Mage is an activated effect that would override the underlying universal effect of Loatheb. I would think Hunter's Mark is a spell that costs 0 mana and therefore should have its cost changed to 5 after Loatheb, assuming no other global effects are present.

Sounds like a bug. Even the coin should be 5 mana after Loatheb. If the opponent plays Loatheb and then you play a Kirin Tor Mage, your next secret should be 0 mana.

The example that Blizzard gave is Loatheb and Millhouse Manastorm. Millhouse then Loatheb = all enemy spells cost 5. Loatheb then Millhouse = all enemy spells cost 0.

So apparently the hearthstone devs are a bunch of retards and what triggers the opening of naxx is your local date/time. Change your date to 1week from now and you can buy the wing. Can't play it though, but lets you skip the shit with the buying bugs and what not, probably not worth the risk to your account. Fucking stupid though.

Why wouldn't they do it that way? Is there a better solution?

Sad part is since Naxx release I haven't had the same drive to even log in and complete quests like I use to. I just want to beat Naxx and move back to my other games.

I thought it might be that way, because during the first week I felt like I had "access" before everyone on my friends list. Interesting.

I'm still slowly getting all the classes to level 10 but i can't decide who i like the best

I think i like mage the least though, she's pretty meh... but i haven't unlocked all the cards yet so i haven't tried out any of the freeze decks or anything.
I've only been able to kill up to maexxna as well, where i'd get overwhelmed pretty quickly by all the shit she summons

Bad rng is bad for me, but it's great being able to play this on the ipad while im doing something else. Probably one of the smartest things they could have done with this game for sure because i've never had the urge to play it on my PC at all

Someone I added earlier said Hunter is now the most common at the top? Said Reynad made a new Hunter mid range and now everyone has copied that? I must say, the Hunter I am playing is dominating and it's been super fun to play. I've jumped from rank 12 to 8 today alone. We'll see how it fares when I get back up to rank 3 though...

This game was pretty fun. Was shocked to see Alarm O' Bot in competitive ranked, but he made it work. It's a good sign to see that kind of diversity, even if it's only rank 9. Alarm O' Bot and Gruul? Yes please, way more fun than playing against Zoo. Hopefully this Hunter Mid range will bring some good meta changes. It's an interactive deck, so it sure beats the old UTH or the current Zoo. I'm a big believer in x1 Abomination and x1 Pyromancer for it though.

Why is the mage hero ability so shitty? is it only 1 damage because it's not restricted on who you can target the fireball at? unlike say the hunter's only hitting the hero?
It just seems super underwhelming compared to everybody elses

Correct. You can pop your own guys with it too (Acolyte of Pain for example)

thats exactly the reason they have given, for example you can target minions hiding behind a taunt unlike rogue /druid

I totally didn't even think of that. Neato.

I guess i was just thinking of the flat damage it did, over the utility it actually has. My bad bros, it's pretty decent then lol

Warlock is, far and away, the top tier hero ability. But Mage probably comes in second. Also it kind of changes as the game goes on, for super late game I actually think Paladin has the best hero ability. Rogue has the best early game hero power, but it is otherwise middle of the pack. Priest, Warrior, and Hunter are at the bottom. Druid is either second or third overall.

You can kind of see the trend. The best hero powers either give you card advantage or effect the board. Priest's is bad because, even though it does effect the board, it does so only reactively.

Seems like bots are everywhere now. Seeing streamers play against a bot quite often lately and just played two in a row myself.

Heroic Baron seems pretty easy, looks like he destroys any cards that hit multiple cards.

So single elimination cards like Kodo work

Apparently he's hilariously cheesable. If you get through his 2 (3?) weapons and clear the 3 horsemen, all he has for face damage is 2 frostbolts and 4 drain lifes. Everything else is minion-only or buffs and he won't play anything if you don't. 2 Pains, 1 Kodo and 2 Oozes will cause him to fatigue himself.

I just want to add that the warlock hero power is not the best in arena. The warlock power is relative to the quality of cards in your deck, so the better your deck is the better the hero power is.
