So this is my first month playing, and I have a question. Does ranked play change drastically towards the end of the month at the lower ranks (like 14-16)?
The past few days I had been playing comfortably around rank 14 with various heroes and decks probably winning a little over 50%. I would see some decks stocked with legendaries, BGH's, etc. but they were the minority.
Today I was playing a warlock deck with which I had been 12-10. It's no great deck, but typically gave me a decent chance around ranks 14 and 15. Using the same deck this morning, I just went 3-8. Pretty much every deck was stacked. I ran into multiple sylvanas, dark knights, and tirion fordrings and also boom, rag, cairne, gruul, and probably a couple more that I'm forgetting. It's not just that they had multiple legendaries, they also had all the accompaniments like BGH. In general they were just well put together decks that you see legendary streamers play, but this was at rank 14-16.
My question is was this an unlucky streak or does something change towards the end of the month? My theory is that maybe experienced players, who were farming wins at high ranks (like 20-17), are now trying to progress up the ladder. Is this the case or why else would I be running into all these pro decks at ranks 14-16? Thoughts anyone?
