The weekly sale and rotation was already released. I forget the sale stuff off the top of my head other than the tiger mount is on sale which I'll buy. I know there were 6 items on sale this week.
tiger mount on sale sounds cool but between getting the mechanospider, hearthstone card mount, and the wolf mount for free i think i'm set for mounts.

Does Infected Tychus not come with that big bundle anymore? The skin is total tits as well. Especially infected Odin. Doesn't hurt Tychus is by far my best hero. I feel like I can carry 4 scrubs on my back with that monster.
I think he makes a pretty decent QM tank. You just have to build her for self sustain. I found myself getting decent mileage by going Regen Master at 1 then that Heal-on-blind talent at 16(??)
I am just not sure if she can fit the role as primary tank. She has absolutely zero initiate. Falling Sword *may* do it but even then it feels like it would be very unreliable against a competent team. But I think Her + Tyrael would make a very nice combo. Once she sticks on you it is almost impossible to get away especially if you take Battle Mo at 7.

Just looking at hots for the first time in a few months. When did they add Sylvanas? Is she good? I just have just about enough gold to purchase her (I have all of the other characters that I like already)...worth it?

like 2 months ago? shes very good though.. her siege capabilities are super super good. Definitely worth buying, as shes good on any map, specially haunted mines.
also, blizzard is legitimately fucking retarded for putting 2 tanks in the free cast this week, when releasing a new tank.. every QM has had 2 or 3 tanks vs 2-3 tanks + azmo on most teams.

Blizzard still makes some odd choices. I am glad they made it so supports are forced 1 to 1 but it still can be pretty aids when they get a warrior or two and you get none.
On a side note fuck people picking Nova as a first pick in Hero League. I don't understand how I keep getting paired with people ranked 20-30 below me. It makes it damn hard to rank up Solo. I can understand picking Nova if they are running a squishy team but they will either first pick and get countered or they will see the other team is tank heavy and choose her anyways. Makes me a sad panda.

They released stats showing that there is no statistically relevant difference to win rate in warrior vs non-warrior teams, but that there is in support vs no support. That's why they changed the matchmaker to match sup with sup.
Regarding HL, rank doesn't matter. I'm 10w2l, rank 34, with an MMR substantially higher than my rank. I'm sure when I lose a game, someone could rage about "being matched with a 34", but the truth is we have the same MMR and thus belong in the game. I'm sure given that I've only played 12 games in HL, the MM has very low confidence about my actual MMR, so it'll fluctuate wildly over the next 20-30 games. The alternative to this system is making it a linear gain right from the start, and thus subjecting the bronze/silvers to frequent shitpumpings by better players as they grind through them like a cotton gin. As it stands, the MM got me out of the ridiculous newbie tier within 2 games.
Booze, whats your btag? I'd be curious to compare your rank/mmr to mine just to get a feel for how hotslog MMR matches rank.

Looks like they are running ramping bonus XP for launch 25% bonus this week, 50% bonus next week 100% bonus the week after, they also have the 30 day stimpack on sale for half price ($5) which I highly recommend to any new players or anyone that wants to significantly speed up your "level this hero to 5" time.
Looks like the wow mount is in game and you don't need to have an active subscription, Hearthstone stuff coming soon but the 100 wins is retroactive so if you already have them you get the mount when they launch it, haven't checked on the card back yet.

Tag is Boozecube#1634, and don't get me wrong I am not saying I should be running around rank 1 from solo play, but I think there is some serious disconnect when you get a team of Rank 1, Rank 20, and three Rank 40 or lower, vs a Team of Rank 20-30 people. It might think its balancing itself out but it's not.
I know they have released some stats on the Warrior vs non-warrior teams but there still is a solid advantage of having someone to soak damage. Looking at my profile I have played just over 1000 games so far and you can tell a difference. Also I think those stats from Bliz are pretty skewed in that certain Warrior and Support roles don't really fit as well as they should. Sonya might be a warrior role but she is sort of an inbetween tank/assassin, just like Tass isn't a full healer really. I understand why their categories are so broad but even in the three roles they have provided not all pegs fit in the circle neatly.

Shrug, don't know what to tell you. I doubt Bliz would lie about the stats, and it's not really possible to misconstrue it -- they've stated pretty clearly that there is no noticeable difference in winrate between 1 warrior and 0 warrior comps. So far, it seems like HL is doing a pretty decent job of matchmaking. Granted, I've only played twelve games, but they've all been pretty fun. QM seems to be far more lopsided. Hotslog is giving you a 2312 MMR; what's your rank?
Yeah QM as Tass or Tyrande sucks because you're labelled a support for the purpose of match making but you ain't supporting like a Lili or Uther anytime soon.
