The ui has always been atrocious, it has improved slightly in some areas, but I agree now the shop is a jumbled mess, they actually made that part worse.

Too many yolo Illidans (my latest loss, guy died 16 times in one game, I tripled his DPS on Sylv) /teethknash. People think deaths dont matter, but they do. I have a 8 game losing streak, dropped back to 27 from 23. It is so frustrating to lose game after game because of absolute retarded play from other folks.
Can't believe I'm playing this shitty game just to get a damn Hearthstone card back... FU Blizzard
Illidan players are the absolute worst. Supporting an Illidan can be even more frustrating because he dives so far that you are forced to dive with him only to get your ass handed to you or let him die. Neither are great options.

^^ I'm salty that I have just wasted a couple hours of my life and am still rank 7. I assumed I'd be able to get rank 12 in no time.
And thanks for linking that noob guide, Tenks. I am very much new to this whole genre. You are going to laugh at this, but it seems to be a big jump in difficulty going from Training mode to VS AI mode. I was playing as Li Li in VS AI mode because I had a quest to play as support and lost both times. Pretty fucking sad that I can't beat the AI.
You can be a fairly competent Lili if you just hold down Q the entirety of a team fight and use W and E on cooldown. Once you get 10k jugs just R when the team fight breaks out in earnest. At higher levels of play you need to make sure to avoid being an easily interruptable target when you pop R but at low levels just holding Q will be fine and half the people won't even know how to interrupt your R.

Oh, I was playing against the AI with AI teammates. Probably not ideal to play support with AI teammates - we weren't exactly seeing eye-to-eye. I'm used to RTS games like Company of Heroes where the AI doesn't pose much of a challenge (dependent on difficulty setting of course). Upon reflection, I guess it is quite different from an RTS - you control all your units as opposed to one of five. Maybe I'll try with real peeps next time.

Me and a friend (Raynor on screenshot, removed RealId) did a bunch of bot matches last night. Then jumped into our first PVP game today. Went pretty well heh. Azmodan is pretty fun. Can just lob bombs and kill people from offscreen.
Seems like team games are easier than bot matches right now, since so many people don't know what they are doing. At least at the newbie levels ...

Before writing off the genre completely, I would suggest playing with friends. I doubt I'd bother with the genre if none of my friends played.

It happens, I lost to the hard ai once or twice while learning league of legends. A lot of learning comes through just playing the game, typically you won't know you're doing something wrong until you do it and get punished for it, then you just have to learn from past mistakes.

It felt like the vs ai took a step up in difficulty a patch or two ago, especially using ai teammates. It used to be faceroll easy. Now ai teammates ignore map objectives and play poorly in general. It's not that the opponent ai plays all that great but even a great player can't withstand a constant 3v1 when your ai teammates actively avoid joining you for teamfights even with ping micro.
The good news is now that they don't talent lock experienced players on new characters there's basically no reason to ai teammate ever.
