Once again, are these people in a bubble? What positive economic news am I missing that's been positive? Seriously, name a single metric.

It's going to get worse.
He, like me I assume, is looking to add to individual names he feels might be oversold. Example, I am looking to add to my META today. The market blows in general but I think its priced correctly.

you want to shoot the people in the head who provide you with the fuel for modern civilization, typical. very typical
Last I knew CEOs don't actually pump oil. Workers do.

The industry is also facing a worker shortage like everyone else, but actually worse. During the last boom they were paying people fuck-you money, at least by working class non-college standards, and then production got shut down suddenly, and a bunch of people have no interest in going back to that life unless they get even more fuck-you money than they were getting before.

I dropped in an order to add to FB/META at $175.
Some things never change.

Im right there with you. Not a single piece of positive news related to anything economic, nor is there a light visable at the end of a tunnel in the near future.

Now, sinxe my belief is that they are cratering the economy on purpose to wipe out the middle class, I also believe the govt is going to be involved in some massive shenanigans at some point to intentionally crater that market to wipe out everyones 401ks and retirement.

A bunch of educated people are telling folks to dump as much money in the market as they can to protect from inflation, so if I was intentionally trying to wipe out the middle class.....I can certainly see cratering the stock market as a way to do it.

Youd think you would learn about whole number orders. hah.
I bend the knee to no one. The market shell bend to me.

Seriously though, it was the very top of the range I am adding in (where the EPS transverses the PE). I actually like it a few percent lower ($165-170 range). I left it to fate.

Only if they sell and realize the loss.

For sure, but...doesn't that wipe out their wealth too? There isn't any asset for them to put their wealth into that's safe, so that kind of screws everyone.

I mean, Musk must have at least some small appreciation for his current stock price:

I wonder if this was engineered somehow to have some system put in orders just before the close...

They already have the assets the matter like land, water, and food. Also, the ones at the top have essentially infinite wealth.

I used to post about this a lot.

Half a rich person's wealth and they're still rich, usually, especially if all the other people they're competing with are in a similar situation.
Half a poor person's wealth and they're still poor and dependent on government.
But half a middle class person's wealth and now they're poor.

This is the game that's always being played on the working class and middle class. This is why the boom/bust cycle exists, why the powers that be constantly manufacture it. They have to keep wiping out a good chuck on the middle class every 7-12 years to keep them from actually establishing themselves as a powerful political entity ever again. They have to keep playing them against each other, convincing a bunch of them that handouts and/or overheating the economy is a good way to pump things up, so they can pull the rug out from under them.

Right, but the wipe out we're talking about here is the big one. When the dollar ceases to exist, all the sudden the entire economy vaporizes.

Unless the rich want to live like royalty circa 1850, it seems unwise. Sure, you're still wildly wealthy, but you're going to be significantly more uncomfortable than the poorest in the US right now.

Maybe I'm missing what the future utopia looks like in their mind, but with the way we're heading it's bad for everyone.

The dollar isn't going to cease to exist, because every other country is in even shittier shape than we are.

America, despite 20+ years of shitty leadership, fruitless wars, and incredibly poor financial habits, is still #1.

But they're going to fuck the middle class as hard as they possibly can in this engineered recession, for sure.

The expectation from the smarties is Powell is going to chicken out and go back to stimulus so buy the dip.
