The worst case scenario of all of this is that regional banks will actually have to start paying people interest on their deposits if they want people to deposit money, which might make regional banks too unprofitable to run, which might cause even more bank consolidation. The bond market is probably fucked too. Mortgate rates will probably come down in the short term which might stave off a recession.
No one really fucking knows. It probably won't be very bad but it'll keep being weird. It's almost like when you print a ton of money when there's nothing to spend it on, shit gets weird for longer than you expect.
