In this one they charge a fee based on a percentage of account balance. For that luxury you get no commissions and shitty tradesThere are brokerages and advisors that still charge fees/commissions on trade execution?

Hopefully it's also not a % of AUM.And then there is this:
I did a client's tax return last night. He "pays" an advisor of a big firm to run his brokerage account. Client is a solid 5%-er, very upper middle class. He paid $6500 in advisor fees in 2022. Advisor made more than 50 trades in this account. He lost money on 83% of the trades. So he made money on 17% of his trades. 17 fucking percent. And paid $6500 for the privilege.

Not an insignificant amount. Unless you are comparing it to Moglyzoke Moogleman loses. In that case it was a mere pittance.Did he barely lose on 83% of the trades and hella win on 17% of the trades?
Bc what you're saying could potentially lead to do very diff outcomes. Sounds like you're saying he lost a bunch of money though. How much did he lose?
If your tactic is to piss me off to so I can use it as fuel for my autism (as opposed to succeeding for my own financial wealth,) well I hope it works.
Really!
And I did a straddle play with them on the paper account. God damnit.Remember when FDX was left for dead a mere two earnings reports ago?
