Its not just "Americans are buying less so imports are down". American companies are shifting to Mexico.

"Earlier this year, Mexico became the United States’ top trading partner, as manufacturers increasingly favored regional supply networks rather than global ones."
Ok but they give examples:
"Companies such as HP, Stanley Black & Decker and Lego are among those that have been repositioning their supply lines for American consumers"

HP isn't making electronics in Mexico (maybe doing some final assembly), Lego makes everything in Denmark I thought.

Also, I don't see that being mutually exclusive, it's a matter of scale and comparison.

Decided to cancel my Treasury auction orders on the 3-yr and 10-yr and bought 1-year notes expiring in Jan. at an annualized yield to maturity of 5.438%

Guess that explains the partial move up? Saw the release and was confused why it had that movement.
It only "met" expectations so by current market standards that should be a -10% move.

Their Semi is supposed to accept up to or even over 1 Megawatt of electricity during charging. One vehicle, using a megawatt for an hour or however long it'll take.

I'm bullish on coal, natural gas, oil etc for awhile because I think electricity prices in America are going to go "up". Hell I might even consider some solar panels because unless we build a ton of new nuclear plants I don't know how the heck this is all going to work without electric prices going way way up.

In addition to the above they gotta figure out the battery weight. Our crumbling infrastructure can't deal with these crazy heavy trucks. Bearish on EVs as things stand now

If in the 2024 election a candidate ran on a "Let's just start building like 20 nuclear plants in my term" they'd get my vote (mostly) regardless of whatever other crap they said. I'd even be happy to put one in my backyard.

Yeah the Semi superchargers are 1mw chargers. They can get about 90% of a full charge in about 20 minutes.

$1T in credit card debt at an average interest rate of over 20%
"The average credit card annual percentage rate scripted a new record high of 20.53% last week."

How come the fake news in this thread always seems to tilt to one side? I think a certain someone needs to consider their twitter feed biases.

I didnt mention whether it was overdue or not. I posted that its an all-time and high and it is combined with an all time high in average interest rates. I totally get that it doesn't seem relevant to you, but I do look at it as something to consider. Especially since I am long V and MA.

What's makes those two items fake? Is the debt not over $1T or the average interest rate on it not at 20.5%?

Yeh, lets tilt the fake news the other way. Have a picture of Jim Cramer's tomato harvest. MMMM
