Probably last trade day of the year for me so let's YOLO some options. Thinking about buy 476 call and buy 473 put 12/22 exp and see if we can get a nice move into the close. I don't ever do this dumb gambling type stuff but seems like a nice YE tradition to get going.

...edit okay long the call @0.14

The markets have averaged 10% with data from the Great Depression, WWI and WWII, 70's stagflation, the dotcom crash, 2008 Recession, and covid.

There's a reason I predicted 28% for this year.

Since the S&P went to 500 in the 50s it's averaging 15% a year.

My guess was thinking we would hit ATH earlier than we did then have some give back. That might happen yet in Q1 24 . I look forward to seeing people's next year guesses, it's fun to see how past 12 month performance so affects people's guesses.

I have been abysmally wrong the last two years' guesses. I am leaning toward just guessing a market crash so we can have another bull year in 2024.

Debasement of the currency is the primary driver of 15% returns annualized historically. Its not the only factor, but its a massive one. Notice the jump in 1971, compare that to stonks. Time in the market is king because currency devaluation is guaranteed in this system. This story only ends 1 way, I wouldnt bet on austerity long term.

This was fun to look at, I never check this shit but I am getting raped on fees on some of these. Immediately re-allocating out of these stupid Blackrock funds and into Vanguard S&P.

Also my ESG fund is up 20% this year, checkmate libs, thanks Obama.

Fun thing is that those expense ratios aren't even bad as far as actively managed funds go. Some people are paying north of 1%.

GenZ financial security thought process explained. No need to watch entire video, starts after Caleb's SOFI ad.

I don't know who this women is, but anyone going to her for "life advice" gets everything they deserve.

" What are you qualifications to advise people on running their lives, ma'am? Qualifications? I identify as someone with qualifications. "

I FEEL qualified. That's the important part here.

It's literally taking the opposite of "Don't buy your own hype" and making it a life philosophy.

It's simple...She manifested the creds, so now she can identify with that manifestation.

She probably has the dog an an intellectual support dog. It barks when she is doing something stupid to warn her.

I wonder how much Costco was making off the spot?

Ps.. I have had more than 10 clients calling asking about the tax implications if they liquidate and go to cash/gold/pay off mortgage out of fear of the market/Fed/economy.

There is a not insignificant number of people who are really scared right now.

Caleb's videos are pretty decent, he tears into people pretty good.

If people follow the advice he gives they have a OK chance of getting their financial life back on track. Issue is that with anyone's situation, more incoming cash is always the biggest help.
