I am thinking deep out of the money puts on SPY at $440 (yellow dashed line) with the Feb expiry (16th). Not great premium obviously this OOTM but it comes with the 200 DMA acting as support as it continues its slow move higher. $450 strike pays more and I like it also but comes with some more risk. Thoughts?

THe premiums are so bad I wouldn't do it. We get a decent vix spike then look to take position. I have no interest in selling puts at a vix of 12

450 is a buy, my issue with puts is you'd have to be ready to dump the put and take the equity if it doesn't drop below strike and by locking yourself into the timing of it could cause you to miss a pullback. If you are currently under allocated I would do nothing. If we break out to new highs you probably need to grin and bear it and buy. That's my take.
