Feeling a bit sad, I sold out of SOXL this morning and took at $2800 hit to offset my capital gains. Leveraged ETFs are no joke, I thought I was slick buying 50 shares at $57 after I dropped from $70. Then another 50 shares at $48. Then another 100 shares at $38. Another $100 shares at $32. Absolutely wild.

Health sector is just getting wrecked about to go red on the year
I think the top is in across the board, and some sectors are about to get a bloodbath.

Rotating some money into industrials and buying more bonds.

I have $35 cash sitting in my IRA that I couldn't buy a share of SPLG with. It's just sitting there looking pretty. I keep looking for some stonk to buy with it, but everything I see is way more than $35. Give me some suggestions of what to do with this as a fun experiment with .03% of my portfolio.

I could actually buy one share of the company I work for, the problem is that I work there, and I see who runs it, and I have no faith in it, lmao.

Just a noobie question. Can someone explain "MSTY" and how they are able to do dividends of ~$4 per month at just ~$38/share? What even is it?

You don’t have to buy a full stock, you can buy partials.

Looks like an ETF where they actively write options and give the yields to investors.

This actually looks pretty awesome but I'm weary of getting dividend trapped, however the yield is so good that it seems you can lower your cost basis extremely quickly. Dividends aren't guaranteed though which is probably where the danger lies.

Doctor that dove head first into Crypto was telling me about that one and a few more yesterday. He's all in on them and I know so little about them that I couldnt even understand what half the stuff he was talking about. Old dude so he loves to hear himself talk, especially when it comes to money. Meanwhile, Im over here dabbling in futures trying to get a grasp on it's patterns.

On 11/4/24 TSLA was at $238. Its price doubled that today. 43 days to double. Who does this stock think it is, NVDA?

Texted my mom with that factoid, and I guess they sold up to the 15% bracket just above $400 ($500k?). And it sounds like they've got a price target to liquidate another $1m. Honestly pretty relieved because I've felt like they're way too overweight in Tesla. Then again, they're killing it right now, so what the fuck do I know.
