I’d say it’s highly likely that deepseek is just a billion street shitters answering questions and not real AI like the Amazon stores, everything is fake and gay, especially Chinese shit.
The model can be run offline without internet access. Do you think they got a billion street shitters inside one 43gb file? Or the 404gb full-fledged file if you have access to enough memory to run it.

Our resident genius gobbling down communist kewl aid is making me quite bullish should be another fun day.
DeepSeek itself is meaningless as a product. Its output is strictly worse than Claude Sonnet and Anthropic doesn't even use chain of thought/test-time-compute. No one will be talking about DS-R1 3 months from now. It merely shows that with the right optimizations, anyone can build a near-frontier-capable AI and then start trying to find production uses for it.

NVDA is going to be fine. The fact that AI will be cheaper in the future increases the demand for NVDA chips. This also lessens the likelihood that you'll have to switch to ASICs over GPUs for efficient inference, another NVDA win, a win for general purpose GPUs. This increases the potential that perpetually learning AIs might be economically feasible, or that companies (or even individuals) can have their own personal AIs running locally rather than enslaved to cloud services. That companies, researchers, and soon hobbyists are going to be building more models as side projects, not less. The future is still going to run on NVDA for the foreseeable.

I'm just giving you a hard time, which you should take as a positive, I ignore people I don't like.

Man you’re tight with those stops.
Still have my IWM and QQQ I bought around the same time as you and neither have hit the stops I put on. You’re definitely more experienced than I am so maybe I’ll learn the hard way

It's not a hard rule it's my general take on the environment, right now I'm being highly protective. That may be a mistake, other times I might be highly patient when you're selling

There are so many moving cogs to the market. Just when you figure out one dynamic, you realize there are 2-3 other cogs whose direction depends on that 1st cog, etc etc.

This is why Blazin may come across as posting his take and it comes off as a "feel" of the market. Feels aren't hard data, but you sit in the chair long enough and pouring over market dynamics and you start to get a 6th sense of sentiment and direction. Often times when sentiment gets shaken and uncertain (like now), it can be prudent to just take some chips off the table and let things shake out.

I am only making the big bets (trades) when many factors are all aligned and the trade becomes heavily skewed in one direction or another. Nothing is ever certain, but its a game of probabilities.

Of course, this is the mindset of an active trader. Most should all just ignore it and DCA until retirement.

Perfectly stated.

I also assume (maybe wrongly) that you take my posts in their totality, I just finished saying up almost $30k on the month I have no reason to stick my neck out unless I see a strong set up. It's not a bullish or bearish take on "the market" .

The only thing I'm stating about the market right now is that we are in a period of indecision. It's going to resolve, and right now I'm choosing to be prudent while I wait for things to become more clear.

On NVDA I'm trying to be patient with this position. Update my loss at this moment is now -$3800 we keep running into this resistance area. That could turn into a gain in a blink if we get past this level (122-124 area) .

We are still in peak earnings time, we have the Fed coming up, this means lots of chop. The bastards dumped me out of QQQ then ramped it, and I got a phone call at the worst possible moment that I shouldn't have answered or I'd be in it. Only explaining that to emphasize the point to not take every move as a prognostication on the market.

Funny to see everything that was green yesterday is now red and vice versa , that is indecision in a nutshell. Investors can't even set themselves toa theme for a freaking day.
