I always mention these when they come up. TradingView charts having an Easter Sale.

Quite a good deal. Typically only see this deep of a discount for Black Friday deals.

Bit of a sell here in the indexes on this headline:

10:18 (EU) EU said to expect US tariffs to remain in place as discussions are making little progress - press
- EU Trade Commissioner Sefcovic left last meeting with little clarity on the US position - Source TradeTheNews.com

I would hold off on too much bearish sentiment on this headline though. There's a 90D pause to iron all of this out with the EU.

It's all a gigantic hype machine. The fundamentals behind AI are real, but all the AI promoters are bullshitting about what its true capabilities are and downplaying where they get their training data from. At the end if the day all "AI" is a compiled library of information sourced largely from public internet datasets, but in many cases in complete violation of intellectual property law.

The talk of the "race to be the first to make AGI" Is just the carrot on the stick to keep the venture capital flowing. It's retarded.
I get the AGI appeal.
But IMO the next target is inserting AI into robotics to do meaningful tasks. This will be the next killer appliance. OK maybe killer is a poor choice of words here.

I figured it was multiple levels of hype and "some" not wanting to be the last one to catch the bus so to speak. But sitll surprised at the volume with one stock. Most traded out of the entire market day after day.

I saw a documentary on that once, the one with Will Smith, or Tom Selleck and Gene Simmons depending on how old you are.

I know several very smart people in the AI industry who say we have about 2 more years. Give or take.

Remember when that Chinese AI came out and everyone was speculating on how China got ahold of export controlled chips? Not sure how many months ago that was, but now apparently they're not only acknowledging it but it's a massive portion of their revenue?

I have a small NVDA position, but will go a bigger if it hits 77 or lower. Didn't hit my target last time we crashed during original tariff drama. Also have half the position size in AMD just to cover both. Would love to see both tank hard to fill my bags further.

The H20 chips were already specifically downgraded for the Chinese market to reduce AI performance. H100+ were the subject of the real export controls. The new restrictions also impact more markets than just China.
