I find Peter Thiel to be pretty impressive. That alone makes me curious about how this IPO will go. I know very little about Palantir other than lol-government contractsI'm buying just based on this letter. And the software is pretty sporty too. I really hope they can make money.

Palantir is a semi-secretive software company that provides services to governments. Its not 100% sure what they do, but deep data analysis, AI-type support, maybe facial recognition , predictive pattern analysis sound possible. Shit like that.

IPOs fuck retail investors. Its why you see it priced at 18 but open at 30. There are no shares for sale until the price gets obscene because the shares are already to sold to the in crowd at a discount.. SPACs and Direct listing are much more retail friendly.

Sounds like stuff we don't necessarily want to do well, but it totally will anyway. I've never assessed a companies finances but I wonder if it wouldn't be something that you're betting on paying off down the line as those things improve in value.Fair warning to everyone looking at Palantir. I cant honestly say the financials are good for a software company. I have doubts they can ever grow to be a behemoth in a portfolio. That said I have been watching them for a long while. I will at list buy something. here is some more info..
