I think money is flowing into travel this week.

My long plays on DAL and NCLH have performed extremely well this week, even during the market weakness yesterday.

Appreciate the honest opinion. Most of the stuff I'm reading from other places see this as really bullish. There is talk that there is a settlement in HCMC's favor with PM in the works. Lots of insider stock acquisition being a good sign. But it's tough the separate the truth from the pumpers and hypers /shrug.

Most of the time when you go to a place like reddit or the news, its people trying to make money off of you, not people trying to help you make money. Printing bills didn't work for Zimbabwe, and printing stonks isn't working for HCMC. Somehow the US gets away with it, but I guess that's the advantage of being #1.

Yeah, I mean I've said it before- that's why this board is a good resource for info. The fact that this is gaming board and NOT a fin board insulates it in some ways from the bullshit. I searched a lot of boards from Reddit to Stockwits, I scoured twitter, and I couldn't find a single negative take on that news. Most of the stuff I found was super bullish. At worst, the takes were neutral (the news won't affect the stock type of stuff). You were the only one who had a neg take on the news and right now it looks like you saved me hundreds of dollars (thanks btw).

Disinformation is such a huge issue these days. It's always been a concern, but it seems like the GME stuff showed how much social media can impact retail investing, and people are now making stock manipulation through social media disinformation a science. Finding a place where you can trust the info you are getting is priceless.

Unfortunately, not that it was perfect before, but Reddit, Stocktwits, and Twitter have become measurably worse for stock information since AMC / GME drew in millions of idiots.

It’s still good for what it’s good for (ie I like the SPACs subreddit,) but a lot of it is bagholders pumping things they’re stuck in with no logic.

I know some of you use TD. My wife is trying to open a SEP and Fidelity has been months trying to unfuck the "dormant 401k with 0 dollars" bullshit. Thinking about just opening it at TD. Thoughts?

It's also important to realize that the herd follows information even if its bad, so sometimes you can make money on it, it's up to you what your tolerance of risk is. If you follow a very risky strategy, you might win big sometimes, but in the end you'll probably lose out and be stuck holding something really bad.

Like writing puts when everyone is bullish?

New ETF for streaming services. They've been on fire and probably will continue to be so. I'll look into this more myself

My trading circles say it's bullish on the fact ARK invest massively bought the dip.
