UNH CEO shot and killed in NY?
Probably a father whose child was denied coverage for a medical procedure would be my best guess.

what’s up with spacex? Are they going public? CC: Blazin Blazin
No its just another funding round they do them every few years, they don't need cash this time this is to allow employees/insiders to sell some stock.

Cruise ship I'm on has Starlink for wifi. So far the slowest speed I have gotten is 10meg.

I can't wait for them to spin Starlink off and make it public.

I wonder how much it costs to keep the ship connected.
Idk, but it costs me like $9 a day for two devices connected. 4500 passengers on the boat. At a 50% take rate that's $20k a day. 10 day cruise that's $200k just for my boat on a single sailing.

Edit: Miami is an absolute shit hole but... It really is beautiful.

Those are revisions to ADP's numbers, not BLS numbers.

I get that government is perpetually fucked, especially when you consider that BLS numbers are aggregated from 50 states, but how does ADP not know their own numbers?

I meant how much the cruise company is paying Starlink. I assume there's some sort of contract there? Or the ship is just providing physical space for the hardware and the transaction is between passengers and Starlink?

Idk what they pay for the service. hory hory mentioned a number but I have no idea if it's good. If they are indeed only paying 6500 a month for the service then they are making obscene profit. My hunch is they are paying more. A lot more.

Yah, 6500 sounds really low. I hope someone leaks contract documentation for airlines and cruise ships. My time doing sales/contract billing adjacent work is doing some weird flashback-preemptive rabbit hole things in my head right now.
