You're sort of touching on why I live where I live in relation to my work.

If I were to move to the city Id either have no yard or I'd be paying out the ass.

But you choose the shitty side of Boston. You could have lived to the west of Boston and gotten a good school system as well and no crime overflow from Fall River.

Nobody says you actually have to live in Irvine. Noodle lives like 50 miles from Boston as-is. I bet you can find some cheap houses within 50 miles of Irvine.
A 50 mile drive into Irvine from about anywhere be terrible. There are a lot of nice areas around Irvine that are much less ridiculous. I mean, Tenks is coming from OH, everything is going to look pretty good right?

Whats with the Ohio haters?!

Actually Columbus OH is pretty damn boring. Its way more flat that Cincinnati. But an area like Hocking Hills in Ohio is pretty beautiful scenery.

I'd say one of the great things about living in Ohio is you probably have alot less hipster faggots that care about "cultural relevance".

When I was referring to relevance it had nothing to do with culture. It was 100% related to the industry I work in.

I was pretty disgusted when I went to columbus bars the first time because I saw so many eunuch looking pussies wearing skinny jeans.

Thats the one thing I'm glad the outer regions of Boston do not have. Dirty smelly hipsters who believe that jeans should never be washed.

There is a limited amount of crustyness in Cambridge but thankfully they are MIT, Harvard people who either don't shower for other reasons or are Harvard Students.

Hipsters are the least of your worries in Boston man.

Bostonians are literally the worst humans you want to deal with at a bar or anywhere in public ever. Shit smear on the world.

Phone interview #2 down.

It was mostly behavioral and a bit technical. Nothing too crazy was asked. Just to quickly model a database given some loose requirements then some Spring/Java/Web questions. I nailed all of them except for one which was kind of an off question. It was actually quite fast. Probably 20 minutes or so. Then I launched into my questions. Luckily I prepared a bunch of them because I felt if I didn't the interview would have been too short. He gave great answers for all my questions.

10 minutes later I got a follow up they want to interview me in person. Off the California.

Yeah I just hope the hours aren't huge. I know Bilzzard is suppose to be pretty good about work/life. But when he talks about the staff mostly all using Windows machines so they can play video games and every Friday it is mandatory in the afternoon to play nothing but video games or hang out at the company bar I wonder what M-Th look like. I just hope it isn't "standard" to work like 8-6 everyday.
