I'd say the one thing that bugged me about the Continental was the inconsistent value of the gold coins. Killing someone = cleaning up a body = cover charge to a bar?

John Wick Sequel Is In The Works

A sequel to last year?s Keanu Reeves-headlined film, John Wick, is officially in the works.

The news comes directly from the first film?s directors, Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, who will return to direct the second installment. In a recent interview, the duo revealed that they are already in development on a follow-up to the stylized action feature.There?s no word if Keanu Reeves would return as well, but the directors indicated that they would love to continue working with the actor.

Plot details are still light, but the directors promised that their sequel will not only outdo the orignal?s action and stunts, but compelling character development as well.

I'm not set on Reeves HAVING to be in it, as they could just pick any awesome assassin from The Continental, but I think it'd be best if it was still John. I'd be pretty cool if they had some prequels (eventually) showing the guys who run the place in their prime before they settled down.

But I'd also be great with John Wicke 2: Triads Done Scuffed My Nikes

Maybe the follow up could be the story that had Keanu working for the Russian guy on an impossible task where he left the bodies that they built their organization upon. (I watched the bluray last night and the bad guy said that line to his son)

I assumed Perkins showed up to her execution because throughout the entire movie they pretty much make it clear that the Continental people are big timers and pretty much run shit (and who's to say John Wick would even be halfway up the totem pole in the entire group? All we know is he's a badass but he could be small fries in the big picture).

Finally got around to seeing this last night and loved it. Much like Dredd, I appreciate the fact that it knew it was an action movie and didn't try to be anything other than bad ass throughout.
