all this discussion about the test has me wondering, did they go into detail about that in the jupiters circle comics?

I loved the jupiters legacy ones but couldnt handle more than a couple pages of the art in jupiters circle. Do they show the test somewhere in those?

And this is all on the showrunners. the insane choice with the jumping back and forth in time. showing the prequel before the main storyline. the retarded filler for the current timeline they added in.

All they had to do with make the comic as it was. Do Jupiter's Legacy. Set the stakes. THEN go back and show how we got to that point..

Well fuck I just started watching this. Yeah just ok so far. 1920's shit is pretty cool and way more interested in that. Only current day stuff I like is the dude with the rod teleporting around. He's about the only interesting person in the show. I didn't even give a shit when those kid heroes died. I actually laughed.

I think that was the major problem. The flashbacks were 100% more interesting than the actual present day storyline.

Not sure about soon after, but that show about high school kids vs. zombies got axed not too long after it premiered. Not as fast as Jupiter, though

By virtue of their knowledge of exact viewership including full demographics etc Netflix is able to construct very detailed models for future viability and growth. Having a cancel get issued this fast is a clear sign that even a retooling wouldn't be seen as saving it.

What a bummer. I really wanted to see what happened on the island. Wonder what it was that killed it. I would have thought it would get similar ratings as other superhero themed shows; it was 1000x better than any of the flash-arrow-legends garbage on CW.

The island is where my interest peaked for the show. THAT late into it. I have no experience with the source material, so I dont have a tainted view of anything. If they would have stayed in the old time line though? I dont think anyone would have gotten the CW series type of vibes and probably be far better rated.

which exactly was it. As the present day storyline was all filler, serving no point. A holding pattern setting up the history in flashbacks, for the "REAL" current day storyline to begin, maybe? in season 2. A beyond idiotic idea, as it set up no stakes at all. no real conflict.
