Actually, Jerry Jones had a nice scene for a non actor in my opinion.

As to the rest, meh...still Demi got 2 more lines in ...I assume they approached her about Season 2 and she had limited time for Season 1?

And of course, The son is smarter than 1000 oil people and reproaching old wells to build it all up?

I think it's this, or they're just giving her something to lose / kind of a redemption thing, before she's a victim of the cartel in the finale or something.

Finally made something for herself that she saw a future doing instead of the life of mooching and then it and/or her are taken away.

I think they're just trying to humanize her a little bit because everything else she does is annoying.

5 episodes in. Pretty good so far. The women are annoying and it's about to get worse I'm assuming, because of who is moving in.

Sheridan writes men well. He writes women better than most of Hollywood, but it's an entirely different kind of annoying woman he always includes. At least they're not fat hambeast

A bit slower than I thought it would be. I was surprised at the new actor. Definitely going to be a season 2. I will watch it. It is good enough.

I view this show through two different lenses. When comparing it to shows from the past it's better than average. Its no Wire or GOT (S1-5).When I compare it to what is currently on tv and being made by Hollywood, it's top shelf.

The cartel story line going into season 2 will be interesting. I hope it doesnt become ridiculous like it did in Mayor of Kingstown. Thornton is definitely carrying all the weight of this show and is doing an incredible job.

The whore daughter narrative is just getting too ridiculous. Especially because shes suppose to be 17. Just makes it a little bit uncomfortable. And I hope they flush out the story with the lawyer more in season 2. I dont understand why they hired her when all she wants to do is be a bitch and burn them to the ground when they are paying her to work for them.

Oh so its Yellowstone all over again. How long till Taylor Sheridan show up as Yeehaw McGee to be the random yet awesome yet irrelevant yet always around "badass"?

Don't get me wrong my mother has been hailing this show as amazing but all his shit is the same now. Starts pretty okay to even good, and he gets bored and starts making it more and more ridiculous. This vaguely western housewife porn genre needs a new voice or two, Sheridan is over saturating this shit to a silly degree

It's very Sheridan. Fairly episodic with very annoying (&very hot) women and totally unnecessary relationship-related drama injected into it. Every episode has some new episodic drama point. He needs to make that a seasonal thing, not an episode thing.

Crazy ex wife is the fucking worst. I can't wait for smart TVs to have AI in them so I can tell it "skip all scenes with this woman". If Sheridan could put out a show that didn't have any women at all, he'd have a masterpiece on his hands.

I'd bet $3 that Mist Mist would hate the Ex-wife, daughter and lawyer too.

funny the girls are all smokeshows and other than ham and the occasional qb the dudes are all mega troglodytes.

Good show though. Assume created by same folks as yellowstone. Format, camera work and music strategies seem identical.

Never worked with a female professional I see? They all rail against the things they do for money, but then quietly do it for money. It's all virtue signaling but when money is involved they play ball.
