My Lenovo chromebook has a habit of turning off its own speakers. Every so often it will just stop making sound and I have to close the lid and open it back up to fix it. Not really a serious problem but it's annoying.

I'm thinking about buying an inexpensive Thin and Light for shit like Word/Excel and minor web browsing. Something that doesn't feel cheap and won't just frustrate the shit out of me. Any recommendations?
I picked up an M3 Macbook Air about a month ago to use as my primary machine at home. Some light Adobe apps for photos and simple design stuff. Takes a bit of getting used to the OS differences, and I'm sure I would be a little more annoyed at the process if it was in a work setting. Overall, nothing crazy. I do appreciate build quality and integration with my other Apple devices. My Dell precision is getting too cumbersome for travelling, and I'm considering switching to the new M3 macbook. Mainly office work with quite a lot of adobe shit. the price is absolutely crazy for this though, so I've been very hesitant. I've read that the Surface is ok but the battery gets drained super fast when you're doing some serious work, plus it's quite noisy. Is anyone having the same struggle ?
i've been thinking about getting a cheap macbook air so my wife can sync itunes, rather than infect the hdtv comp, wouldn't even know what to buy, i see some "working" ones for 70bucks on ebay, something has to be upI picked up an M3 Macbook Air about a month ago to use as my primary machine at home. 'Sync itunes' as in a local backup? or she uses itunes for non-phone devices? I feel like you don't actually have to have itunes installed to save/back up off-device. Might be able to just have a folder on a NAS that itunes points to.i've been thinking about getting a cheap macbook air so my wife can sync itunes, rather than infect the hdtv comp, wouldn't even know what to buy, i see some "working" ones for 70bucks on ebay, something has to be up

Then I think you can just have a dedicated directory on whatever shared drive you have on your network. I have one sitting on my NAS that I don't use anymore, though it might have been created when I had itunes on a windows desktop, or from one of the wife's old macbooks. Either way, should be able to look that up pretty easily.yea just take the shit off her phone since she doesn't use icloud
I have an inventory program that runs on Windows. It doesn't need much computing power at all.
Are there any cheap tablets available that I can load the program on instead of buying a Surface Go/Pro?
Looking to pick up a gaming laptop and this one seems decent for the price (Ryzen 9, RTX 4070).

Any thoughts?
I flipflopped around between a Macbook and this but I need something I can run MS365 on for Excel/Word for work as well as play some games like EQ and beyond using a Macbook as a superfast web browser I doubt I would use any of it's performance for anything remotely useful.
As long as the drive isn't encrypted, you could plug it in to the new system and just copy files over. If it was encrypted by something like windows bitlocker, you'll need the encryption key or the ability to boot the old system. Disk encryption doesn't like hardware changes.Just snagged a Lenovo pro 7i with rtx 4080 on a sale (there’s always a sale somewhere loooks like) after my current system had one too many coffees spilled onto it and no longer powers up. Really impressed by the 240hz screen, I always felt like those high refresh rates wouldn’t affect me much not playing fps games but it’s just so smoothly satisfying you notice it in most games.
side note I managed to salvage the storage from my last pc, any chance I can get the system back up and running? Guessing the battery got shorted but not sure. It’s over 5 yrs old so am not that motivated as it was time to upgrade anyways and I got all my porn out
Rip the entire thing apart and check all the parts for liquid stains and clean them up with isopropyl alcohol. While doing that, make sure to look for any scorch marks or other damage. If everything looks ok, put it back together and pray.I already got my drive out and stuff back, just wondering how to best troubleshoot my old laptop. It stopped working after the coffee (or was it Diet Coke) spill on the keyboard so trying to figure out where I should look first, or is more of a repair shop thing, in which case I’d rather trash it than pay for something almost 6 yrs old
