Luckily I avoid Las Vegas Blvd. like the plague but the whole weekend will be a mess at any casino on the strip really.

I stayed at The Venetian a few nights ago (on Sunday) and got a huge ass suite for $100. I found the entire hotel to be immaculate. It was definitely a steal of a price for the room, I guess considering it isn't peak time yet / Sunday night.

That is a damn steal. Best rate i could get there was $150. Ive spent many hours and $$$ at the Lagassee Sportsbook and bar. I need to go there again during football season.

Going on a whim with my wife this Saturday-Wednesday. We went 2 years ago in November and it was already hot for us so it's going to be a ball dripping 110+ degree 5 days. We saw Ka and Penn & Teller last time and were thinking of Absinthe + another cirque show on Saturday + Sunday.

My wife more or less wants to spend a few afternoons at the pool, so does anyone have any hotel recommendations based on the pool experience? Pools with cool features would be better than party oriented ones.

Caesars is great for pools, they have a bunch of them. Mirage pool is very shaded and tropical. Golden Nugget downtown has an awesome pool with a slide that goes through a shark tank.

We ended up booking the Luxor because the price was good and it was mentioned a couple times in this thread as being decent. Thanks for the input though.

Be careful at the pool at the Luxor. The Luxor is like a damn mirror reflecting the sun right on you.

I like MGM for the pool experience. The lazy river.

If they had like, you know, Counter-Strike for $$ style gambling, I would be broke as fuck, though. I really wish there were more 'skill' based adverserial gambling games other than the few card games.
whoever puts twitch in touch with an online casino is going to make a lot of money

There is no good Mexican/Tex Mex in Calgary. Where do I go for kickass Mexican here?

Robertos is open 24/7 with a bunch of locations and has some good stuff. If you go on Wednesday their chicken tacos are 1 buck and are very good. Bonito Michoacan on South Decatur has great food, lunch specials are 10 bucks and come with a drink also. If you just want awesome street tacos go to Tacos El Gordo. The strip location closed but there is one on East Charleston.

Carne Asada nachos from roberto's. That plus + their huge breakfast burritos , only reason I ever went there.

As a Mexican I question how people can call Burrito's Mexican food.
The threshold for being Mexican food for non Mexicans starts and stops at anything that looks like it might have once been involved with a tortilla.
