Locals even know Excalibur has some of the best customer service on the strip because of the competition even within their own company being sandwiched in between MGM Luxor and Bay.


I stayed there for Halloween and they upgraded and updated all thier rooms and the table games were awesome deals.


It's no Wynn ( where we stayed last time) but it was tons of fun especially Tournment of the kings and dicks last resort.

Friend and I walked through it and NOPEd out of the place in less than a minute.

At least the MGM Grand used to have Lions.

I dunno I wasn't super impressed when I was there, though I haven't stayed in the hotel yet. It seemed pretty sterile, most of the other hotels have attractions or things going on, seemed like it was just hotel -> casino floor -> dumb mall.

I was in Vegas last week. The strip was all closed down in the evenings for filming of the new Jason Bourne movie. Between that and they had 4 conventions in town, it was a cluster fuck.

I think I'm good on Vegas for the next 10 years or so.

I think the craziest weekend I ever had in Vegas (crowd-wise) was the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. That was ridiculous.

Ya anytime there is a big event on the strip it is impossible to get to any of the hotels.

Excalibur is fine if you really want to save your money for shows, gambling, hookers, etc. I stayed there on a few business trips just because I wanted someplace to crash at the end of a long night. I would never bring back a woman I picked up to that place though. It's like the Motel 8 of the strip. I've stayed at the Venetian, MGM, Luxor, Excalibur, Bellagio, Treasure Island, Hard Rock Hotel, and Paris Hotel. Venetian rooms were the best IMO.

I dunno these days I think Bellagio suites are slightly > Venetian ones just because of age. They're both really nice for a hotel, though.

Bellagio is by far the nicest I've stayed at. But you pay for it. I think Caesar's, TI, and Mirage are the only ones I haven't stayed at. And of those I would think Caesar's is the only one with a shot at being nicer than Bellagio.

Hotel32 at Monte Carlo is very nice and affordable if you want a suite.

The Wynn should be right up there. It was done by the same guy and is basically just a little more expensive and slightly updated version.
