Watching a couple videos and this game just flat out looks better than POE2. With movement skills, loot actually dropping with lots of options to upgrade it, and not dropping patch notes at the last minute has me hyped for release on Friday. Pretty much the polar opposite of 2 weeks ago. Goodwill has been generated, lets hope they dont squander it.

Gonna do fissure/infernal shade warlock. Did a practice run the other day and its so smooth, its also kinda off-meta since most are going to try out sentinel rework it seems.

Gear is going to be super inflated with guaranteed LP transfer, sealed affixes, & new crafting options.

If you haven't bought/played yet this game is worth doing a playthrough (or a few) before release.

You can go straight through the campaign. You can skip certain acts with dungeon keys. You can even go immediately into end game monoliths as soon as you are strong enough (typically level 30) if you want.

This game respects your time and let's you play it exactly how you want. You can play an hour at a time and make real, meaningful progress.

And its always good to know the loop before a reset

Divine Bolt Paladin was my favorite class I have played in any ARPG. Hammer Paladin is pretty spiffy as well and I won't mind going back to that. I didn't even mind the Forge Guard dropping Anvils on people like a Looney Tunes cartoon.

I haven't played many other classes, obviously but I am coming back for this new season, maybe will even try a different archetype. The Tornado Werebear I saw on the youtubes looks cool.

Oh is this what people are talking when they say Shattered Void Knight?
Most likely not since this isn't in the game yet. Shattered could refer to Shattered Continuity which removes Erasing Strike cooldown? Don't think I've seen this specific build name though so not sure.

The item linked is just a super generic very good on everyone amulet, basically is going to be BiS for most builds but drops from the very hardest boss so makes sense.

I bought the game yesterday to get any "tweaking" sorted out, and to take it for a short run before the update, and Holy Shit... I've been missing out.

Rolled a Sentinel because I really wanted to see how melee/sword & board felt, and it was great. Didn't feel any of the complaints mentioned a couple of pages ago.
Combat feels and sounds decidedly crunchy and Shield Bash, man, so satisfying. 8 hours later I finally quit, and going to wait now for the update to drop.

Game runs and looks great, everything Ultra, no problems whatsoever. I believe further graphics/performance/animation improvements are coming in the update as well, can't wait.

Too many potentially great Sentinel builds in 1.2 to not choose it as a starter imo. Especially coupled with the ability to respec mastery (finally... that shit should have been in the game from day 1 of EA). It's also one of the easiest and fastest classes to level up through the campaign.

Would love to shoot for Erasing Strike w/World Splitter as a final build, but I have zero faith in my ability to get even a properly rolled LP1 let alone anything higher. They may have made the LP grind less shitty but LPL85+ items still seem completely retarded, doubly so for the ones that are boss drops.

Well depends on how long you play but LP, at the very least LP1/2 is going to be trivial this season with like nemesis eggs(which already made LP1 trivial) and the gamble to reset the items to LP0 so you can egg them again(or to get directly more LP if lucky). Like the new system provides "new" bases to egg for "free", in fact they pay you a chance to get even better results.

I'm also eyeing Erasing Strike because it's one of the build I enjoyed in 1.0, even though it was clunky as all fuck back then. With all the reworked shit though it should be a ton smoother, stuff like generating the 3 stacks shit automatically from the orbs that cast automatically as you move, the sigils just recasting on their own instead of sucking up a bunch of mana especially if you let them drop and having better movement skills than having to use fucking Lunge cause there were so few options back then.

I wanted to look at minions but there isn't really much that's new for them other than Beastmaster getting even tankier with the new unique chest and Forgemaster getting tankier by being able to equip a shield at the cost of some damage. Also forgemaster weapons looks pretty much like just a spinning build, but with shitty mechanical damage that can die and get kited. Could just play void knight spin and just do more damage without any of the annoyance so... yeah.

Yeah, Forgemaster still sounds like ass aside from the ignite shield throw build which I'll probably try at some point just because we can swap masteries now.

What movement skills got added to Sentinel? Movement skills overall is one of the weak points with LE.
He's probably talking about the revamped Volatile Reversal.
