I think it's been a thing since the first season, when I watched people doing leveling in the patch before it was crazy how much loot everyone was getting cause of the nemesises and loot lizards. They nerfed loot lizards this season I think but it's still very high. Nemesis is basically 1 unique per area while lvling, which is crazy. They absolutely have been watching people bitch about poe2 and went and like doubled the loot drops in LE.
The campaign has never been particularly difficult, but this is insane now. Entire inventories full of rares/uniques per campaign area. Had to make a loot filter at like level 10.
Getting big D3 vibes here

Finished the "campaign", or more like finished up to the point where it makes more sense to go monos, cleared a mono quickly to see how it was and it went pretty smooth.
Playing Void Knight, didn't do the whole "level as paladin and respec" cause that sounded boring as fuck, instead I've been playing VK the whole time. Using Rive first, then also speced Erasing Strike to delete bosses faster. Pretty fucking slow at first though but really kicks in once you get Devouring Orb, that shit is so good with the autocast while moving, the orbs fire more orbs at shit too so you just kinda run around and a lot of the smaller stuff just dies. Still have the same setup at lvl 45ish, Rive is good as a filler to get mana back after using Erasing Strike, autocast Devouring Orbs and Anomaly for self buffs, using unspeced Volatile Reversal for movement(it's just a blink, not that good for leveling compared to other stuff but unspeced I think it's the best Sentinel movement skill now).
Need to get a good filter and tweak it first though, I used one during the campaign that was dogshit but I didn't want to spend time reworking it.
Lasta Weekpoch. It's too comfy. As much as people bag on GGG for trying to add RNG and difficulty and friction, without you just glide into the 98% state of your character's power then you're bored. And you'd think it'd be fun making a bunch of classes and fucking around, but not really. Most people start with a prefab build guide and their build does everything already so there's no need for niche characters except maybe a slightly faster clearer or a better bosser.Hmm I didn't play the last big update so the lizards are new to me, but yea they are a huge part of the infinite loot explosions.
The further I get the more this feels like D3 to me. It's fine, but after 3 days and 10,000 unique items trying to find legendary potential I'm gonna probably get bored.
I would say LE has much more build creativity/complexity than D3. But you definitely get showered with gear. Let's you try out builds much quicker....and get bored quicker. I'm hoping their endgame will have more meat to satisfy that boredom aspect.Hmm I didn't play the last big update so the lizards are new to me, but yea they are a huge part of the infinite loot explosions.

This is exactly how I felt last time playing this game.Yea it just doesn't do it for me. I did like 75% of the campaign today and just got bored and logged off.
The constant loot explosions combined with 0 difficulty just makes it so hard to care.
I'll probably give it some more time later just to see what they changed in their corruption endgame stuff
