Kat is way, way less vulnerable to CC now with her rework. It'll interrupt her ult but some of her ult damage got moved to her W and Q proc, so if she gets any resets she's still chunking people, just not getting pentakills perhaps. AP Yi counters a bunch of AP in lane but is just a worse version of Kat for basically the rest of the game.

Picked up Fiddle for jungle finally now that the dust has settled. He always seemed like the hardest gank coming out of the jungle. Plus he can cheese hard with dat Zhonya's.

Fiddle is pretty much useless. Like 30 Junglers are better than him.
The only time you see him nowadays is to counter vlad or to troll around as supportsticks.

He works fairly well mid if the person playing him isn't retarded. Obviously has tons of sustain and if you keep harass up from long range with Dark Wind he can keep you fearful of one good combo. That fear alone lasts long enough to kill most AP mids.

Well Fiddle isn't for ganking the other jungler, that's for sure. But once you know the good ambush spots to jump out from with crowstorm, you can almost guarantee kills.
You can also do some clever shit like pulling the red mob out in such a way he comes out near the bush, then throw your crow at him to check said bush.

I don't know if I would go that far. He's very good if you have an AP mid that doesnt use blue buff like kat or akali. God-tier ganks yo.

He pretty much wrecks anybody mid who doesn't have some form of hard CC, and those who do are his hard counter. In lane it's all about the life drain, and without any form of hard CC there's no way to interrupt it.

Useless might not have been the right wording there. I was talking about him beeing jungler nowadays and today i would prefer Nocturne, Nunu, Malphite, Mundo, Cho Gath, Lee Sin, Olaf, Jax, Jarvan, Nautilus, Shyvana, Udyr, Amumu, Skarner, Maokai, Xin Zhao, Shaco, Trundle, Vi, Diana, Shen, Alistar, Elise, Zed, Kha'Zix all over fiddle in the jungle - just to name a few.
Yes, if you happen to meet a team that has no cc you can ofc play Fiddle mid - if Katarina is banned, but that only rarely happens in higher elo. Most likely < 1200 elo or < 30 and i guess thats where the high win % number comes from cause its a no brainer to win games then. Other than that, you just dont play him.

For those who missed it : Azubu Blaze did shit on their Group yesterday at IEM in Poland. I guess Frost will do the same with fnatic, AL and SK today. Looking forward to another match between Frost and Blaze after Frost won the last 2 times when they met.
I suppose the key word here is what you "prefer". He isn't nearly as bad as you make him out to be.
Gotta say not liking the change to normal solo queue. I don't play much with only about 300 wins with about a even amount of loses. That's with playing since beta. Every game I got today seemed like I got a ton of new 30s with 100-200 wins. Stomped games so hard it wasn't even fun. Guess I'm stuck with ranked =/.
I never quite understood what mattered to the people who played normal exclusively. Want to play competitive matches but you are viciously opposed to seeing your ELO? What's the difference otherwise.

I want competitive games, but not the compulsion to win at all costs, and devote myself to achieving a rating/ranking. I'm too competitive. In a game where, its always ranked, its kindof, "be #1, or force myself to not play at all". If I played ranked, I wouldn't be satisfied with less then 2k, and it would interfere with playing other games, and/or work.

At my elo (1200-1400), ranked solo queue is still hit and miss. People in general seem to be obsessed with absolving themselves of responsibility for the team's imminent loss the moment *anything* goes wrong. On another note, I have been having success with jungle Vi lately. She is a very good initiator and can soak up ass-tons of dmg if built even a little tanky. I have been going Wriggles, Merc boots, Phage, Aegis->Bulwark (or frozen mallet if the support is building Aegis.) She is also very good with CDR.
