I don't buy Tiamat on Jarvan, was just fucking around with it. Locket, I did forget to use it I believe twice. I did use it a few times throughout the rest of the game.

Yea, you started using locket after you moved it to hotkey 1, think you realized you'd missed it each time till then.

Heh.. the teamfight at 40 minutes in river, the one you win the game off of.. You used locket AND hydra actives, nami hit like 4 people with ult, and you got an ace with no one dying. :p The previous ace, where 2 or 3 people died, you only used locket and she hit 3/4 people with ult as well.

Hydra on Jarvan isn't the worst thing in the world, but you have to remember to use it all the time. I really have a problem with remembering most activated items, but not hydra as I just get in the habit of hitting it everytime I attack anything, whether it's off cooldown or not, so I'm using it each time rather then 'saving' it for an optimal time and forgetting completely like I do with locket, DFG, etc.. If you forget it, it's not even close to gold efficient.

First game of the day, guy with first pick goes "blue warwick" and takes him with clarity and CV, then says "blue" when asked which lane. He's 35-40 and Silver 1, but his last three games he has 30+ deaths. Luckily someone on our team dodged.

I hate people.

I've been playing a lot of nunu jungle lately, and watched some of trick2g's vids about counterjungling with him (or jungling WITH the other jungle, as he says). I get the idea and I mostly do it, but I don't get how you can consistently steal the enemy jungler's first buff without your team helping. In the video i watched, he flashed in and consumed to steal it. But, half of the time if I try to do that, the enemy team is still kind of close from helping their jungler and they collapse on me. I don't always make it out, especially if my closest team mate doesn't follow them or come help. If I die then, I undo the exp stolen, give the buff right back and I'm now way behind so harder to counter jungle.

I've had much better luck warding the buff I think they'll do 2nd (90% of the time it's red), getting my own first buff with help plus a mini camp after, then heading over there when the enemy jungler is trying to solo it and stealing it plus often killing them in the process since they are pretty low. If it looks like multiple lanes are trying to collapse on me I can still get out without dying. If they don't, I steal his big golem and big wraith before they get back, then the game generally snowballs. My lanes won't get jungle ganked for the next 5 minutes at least, so they shouldn't feed as much, and by the time I clear my whole jungle/buy I can gank a lane or two before going back to counter jungle.

But, it doesn't seem to dominate the game as much as how trick2g pulls it off in his video. I don't know that it works for him every time or not. Like, if he just posted a video of when it works amazing, but sometimes it goes badly. If it DOES work every time for him, I'm not sure what I'm doing differently or how he escapes when the enemy team actually tries to come help, especially if they have good CC. If they don't have CC, getting my W at lvl 2 lets me run out and that's what I normally do, but it's rare they don't at least have a snare/stun between them.

Difference is lower mmr teams will give the jungler a smiteless down to like 20% health so they are going to be close when you do your thing. At higher mmrs smiteless is like a fifty percent leash which means the laners are at their lane (in mids case) or reaching their lane (top/bot) by the time the enemy buff is in consume range for you. Its basically a factor of bad play on the enemy teams part screwing you. Which surprisingly happens often. I miss skill shots, die, or give up a kill I should have secured because the enemy player does the stupidest thing imaginable in the situation instead of what they should be doing. Its like that old idea about sword fighting where it is actually harder to duel a novice because their swordplay and execution doesn't follow common practice or logic.

Well he probably only posts videos where it works? And I'm guessing that he doesn't even try it unless the enemy comp looks like he'll be able to get away with it, i.e. its unlikely that they have a snare or a stun to catch you. If stealing second buff works pretty consistently for you, just stick with that. Stealing first buff is showboating, not a consistently viable strategy.

Yea, that's what I was thinking, just wanted to get other people's input in case I was missing something obvious.

I just did a game where I was 5/1/2 after 15 minutes doing that, against an udyr jungle. He was 1-3 lvls behind me for the first 10-15 mins of game, but then our dumb bot lane got too comfortable that he wouldn't gank and stopped warding.. sure enough he comes somewhere around 10 mins and they get a double kill out of it.
Our top lane was a tryn vs enemy irelia. I ganked a few times for him that were successful, but he'd start roaming too long and let her free farm to catch up. He also would bitch at me everytime I was jungling instead of defending a tower against 3 people when I'm at 50% health, because I knew I'd just die and then they'd get kill + tower. Plus, I didn't have any nunu jungle buffs on me either. I don't mind tryndamere as a champ, but the people that play him (and master yi) tend to have such tunnel vision in game. They think because they can 1v3 and get kills, that everyone can.

So, anyways, we end up losing despite a great early game, because nunu falls off late game and can't carry past mid game, our anivia would get quick DCs every so often, and our ashe/tryn were retarded when it came to map awareness/taking objectives. Hell, our whole team was bad at taking objectives. We had a big edge early game, but then my bot lane wouldn't respond to my ping for help at dragon and enemy team steals, or everyone would just roam when the creep wave hit the enemy tower instead of taking it. It felt like they all thought we were in a bot game and just wanted to pad their KDA since we were ahead lol.

Despite all that, I know I could have done more and turned it into a win. I could have applied more pressure in enemy jungle when we transitioned into mid (I figured I had a big edge on udyr and I'd just farm my own shit for a minute cause I was afraid he'd ask for help or they had wards by this point) and I could have pushed some lanes to take towers myself at times that I missed.

Yeah one of the things about smiteless pulls at lower MMRs is that people in lanes don't realize that missing CS is terrible play. So they'll stick around to help the jungler more when they really shouldn't.

Diamondprox rolled out Karma jungle again today, got the win. He gets her a little more carry-ish, her R+Q's were doing some decent damage during tower sieges.

This video your talking about is when he was playing a normal game with his subs. It is a very risky play, i never try it in rank

Yep, sounds like what I was thinking, but glad to have everyone confirm that. Trying to steal the 2nd buff has been a lot more consistent/safe. Once I've got a big lead on enemy jungler, I can go in and steal the big mobs from camps more often.

Well I've jungled twice today and each game my top and bot lanes get pushed into their face going down double kills in 10 minutes and no one groups for team fights or engages when I do. Sadsadsad. Oh well, can't really expect much at my level.

Well i just lost a 5v4 game that was 5v4 from the first second... in gold I. Shit happens at all Elo lol... I was jungle Nunu too, I wish I recorded it for posterity.

I've won some 4v5s like this but haven't lost many at all, maybe 1x ever. Quite frustrating to see it at gold tier lol. I mean as a 5v4 I wish I could say it was all my team but being part of the team I definitely made mistakes, too..

Other team was Kha Zix, Malphite, Thresh and Nocturne with an AFK tristana. We had Renekton, Nunu(me), Lux, Caitlyn and Blitzcrank. Shoulda been easy as pie but our bot lane somehow couldnt win a 2v1 lane vs Thresh, Lux feeds Kha Zix at minute 1, he gets a double kill on our Mid/Top laner somehow, Kha Zix ended the game with 35 kills.

You would think late game we had the advantage, we did, team just didn't utilize it. We had their inhib and nexus turrets down, just had to kill nexus, for some reason my team continually fights them even after they use their homeguards and we get wiped. I of course , as nunu, built tanky and didnt do damage to structures so I assisted with the fighting... I even fended off a nexus push by the enemy team on my own after my team gets wiped in my own base. Frustrating game though. Other team built tanky as shit, all of them, was like fighting a rock wall.

My team had like no damage for some reason. You would think with Lux/Renekton/Cait we coulda melted them but nope. UGH. So sad.

Jungling is the most fun but also the most thankless job in the game I think. When every lane is losing you're basically expected to work a miracle, and god forbid your first ganks don't succeed or you're behind AND the lanes are losing. People just refuse to farm at their turret, they believe they have to try and kill the other guy to come back and they keep trying, over and over.

Man.. this. So much this.

I can't count how many times someone has gotten a kill behind and I've been like 'just farm at turret for a minute and then I'll gank when I get up there' followed by 'ally has been slain' 15 seconds later. I just don't understand how someone can think that after dying to someone 1v1 and then the enemy buys more items that they'll somehow win THIS 1v1 now that they have a bigger edge on them.

We still could of pulled it off at the 18m mark because I was 6 or 7 4/5 and 1 at that point. I would die to a team fight getting one kill and everyone being at sub 20% health and 2 of my team members running away at 50%+ health. Meh.

This was one of my hardest lessons to learn when I first started to play. Then I played a few games when I pushed a lane to tower and my opponent would kill me once, get even, push lane out just a little and I would get ganked by jungle. All of the sudden I was behind. That teaches you not to over extend and to ward pretty early.
