i wonder how frost/blaze leaving azubutv is going to affect CLG because they partnered with azubutv.

now, i`m seeing hotshotgg and some other CLGers on twitch.

I'm best at support, but it's hardest to carry yourself out of lower levels as support.
I only half agree with this statement. I main ADC and supports win or lose bot lane, not the ADC. A winning bot lane sets the team up for mid-game domination so much as well as demoralizing the shit out of at least 2/5 of the enemy team. A diamond tier player would certainly carry himself out of bronze -faster- playing Mid or Jungle, but the huge majority of people playing support in the bronze/silver tiers did not want to play support, do not practice support, and barely understand the duties of the role. I'm happy to just get a guy who stays in the bush and doesn't feed, even though that condemns me to passive farm play for the first 20 minutes. Duo is definitely your best bet, however (this is probably true for most everyone).

@Eidal...it is the same either way I think. A good support can carry a decent adc and vice versa. I believe where you see the difference is when the skill is heavily favored to one or the other. If your support is amazing but the adc sucks shit still may not work out as good as the adc being amazing and the support being shit. I play a duo bot so I can't say I really have that problem either way.

Yea, if one of them sucks hardcore, it doesn't matter. An amazing support can't carry a complete dumbass ADC. Half of the time they are autoattacking a wave to push past river AFTER the other support pinked the river and removed my ward.. I can save those retarded ADs from dying on ganks by sacrificing myself, but then my score sucks and they start raging at me for feeding. If they die, then they rage at me for not saving them.. -_-

Idk, I know I'm not amazing and make mistakes myself often. I do get tired of some of my friend's attitudes who act as if they are 2k+ elo players and it's just the retards around them holding them back, so I try to avoid that attitude. Even when someone else really messes me up, I try to think of what I could have done differently or where *I* made a mistake.

For example, had a shen game the other day.. was just a blind pick cause shen gets banned in draft so much and I wanted to play him, and ended up laning against a teemo. I didn't realize it until later, but I should have just gone toe to toe with the teemo right at lvl 2 or 3 before he had leveled up move quick. I tried to harass with my Q and W shield his return damage, thinking my rejuv bead and extra health pots could wear him down.. But, with teemo's poison he still won the trades and I had to sit back and try and farm under tower. But, he was pushed up ON my tower, without a ward (never bought one from what I could tell), from lvl 2 to lvl 9. Half of the time he's sitting at 30-50% health as well from us trading. I told our jungle shaco to come get a free kill early before teemo gets 6 and starts making a shroom field, but he ignores me until teemo is lvl 9, shaco is lvl 7, I'm 8 and died once.. now teemo has a shroom minefield and kites us both, killing shaco on a fail gank attempt and I barely get away. Teemo takes tower, and now another lane that wasn't paying attention is mad I 'lost my lane' lol. I could easily blame all of that on shaco, but if it hadn't been awhile since I played shen, I would have realized his damage early on is quite strong and teemo can't brawl with me if we're even on items. I was just seeing blinding dart hit me hard and getting nervous, but that's most of his damage at that point, has nothing to follow up with.

First ranked game of season 3 today; had no jungle on our team, overall effort from my team was very low and surrender spam started immediately at 20min mark. hopefully not a sign of future team efforts.

My first few ranked games with the new system were TERRIBLE. I was really questioning matchmaking because of the quality of my teams for like the first 4-5 games (I was put in Silver I at the onset, so expected people to be around 1400 ELO skill-wise). I had one game where a guy agreed to trade me so I didn't have to pick AP first - and then he AFK'd and I got stuck playing Singed (who I haven't played in like a year and half). I'm not an amazing player by any means, but goddamn, it scared me a bit.

Luckily it's gotten better. And not just my team, enemy teams have been pretty good as well. Have had some truly enjoyable and challenging games. Currently on an 8 game winning streak, with my last 3 winning me my best of 5 promotion into Gold V.

People seem to have missed the part where the start of season 3 was a soft ranked reset. It's going to be days or weeks before matchmaking is at all stable, plus more placement matches.

Where did you read this? I know there was a reset at the start of the pre-season, but I assumed that for the actual season start, ELO just became hidden MMR.

Usually if I'm playing with a terrible ADC I tend to roam to middle more often and try to gank his lane. I usually play Leona support and if you can catch the mid lane in your ult + EQ, as long as your mid lane follows up with you it should result in a kill. Like, a lot of the time I'll be with my retard ADC, I tell him I'm going to ward, I'll go pink/green ward dragon, then just keep going mid, attempt a gank, then go back towards bottom.

Able to do that as well if your ADC is Ezreal and you're already far ahead cuz EZ just solo lanes np.

Anybody playing Thresh much at all? I haven't bought him but the times I see him in lane I swear he still feels pretty damn broken. If you get hit with his Hook, which he follows up with that knockback you're just fucked. I've seen some of them just rush warmogs too and with his passive, so he gets all the extra armor you couldn't touch him in lane, was pretty irritating.

It was sometime right after the pre-season started, in the season 3 FAQ I think. People were asking if pre-season ranked counted for season 3 and Riot said "yea sorta" but were vague about it. Perhaps I'm misremembering it and it was more referring to the ranked changes than any reset, but I'm almost positive I read reds saying that Season 2/Pre-season ELO both somewhat counted for your season 3 ELO.

Edit: Just looked at the FAQ again and it does say all preseason games carry over to season 3, so not sure what I saw that made me think otherwise. I'm still dubious because it just sounds like everyone's experiencing the ELO reset again.

I decided to play ranked for the first time. I just finished my 7th placement match in a row, in every single one we had an afk on our team within the first 10 minutes.

First game of ranked since season 1(EARLY season 1), great experience despite being the last time I really played a top champ seriously(got stuck with it in champ select). Also... this happened.

@msbehavn: congrats, personally I've never achieved a Pentakill, a few quadra's, but I mostly play support nowadays. Playing on EU West is like this in solo queue: You enter the game:
P1: mid
P2: mid
P2: top
p3: adc

so it's either jungle or support.

On the other hand, while playing support, I tend to notice this... trend... where at 35th minute, I'm still the only one with wards. I mean, all these people acting tough and all, but none of them have ever watched a pro game. A pro game, where it was seriously demonstrated how everyone is warding for their own safety. Then you have top laner bitching about being ganked from that bush every single time and he claims it's not "his job to ward".

BTW, what's it like to play that cockroach btw? Always wondered if it's worth picking him up.

One of these days I'll break out of my champion shell and try some champs that aren't yordles (teemo, kennen, viegar)

He's broken as shit. >.> Mid or Top, not 100% on Jungle. But he's just flat out broken.
He's one of those champions that just has a complete package. Gap closer/escape, sustain/range harass, and his passive makes his dueling capability nearly second to none.

I don't really mind playing against him Mid, but I can't trust my team to know how to deal with him. It's why I usually make sure he's banned if I'm team captain.

My experience recently with the new system has been god awful. I was originally placed in Silver II ( where i expected ) then the next 8 games are an absolute train wreck. Had people going afk, an AP tryn ( because he wanted just to try it out ). and all sorts of ass hattery. Now im down in Silver 4 trying to find the will to actually play and attempt to get gold.

Ya, the flux I am having with retards while trying to play ranked is ridiculous. I assume it has to do with all the retards playing ranked again because s3 has offically started. Not that I am super amazing or anything but some of the shit I see is....I don't even know.

Yeah I'm not sure where people get the idea that warding isn't their job. Do they expect the support to walk up the river and ward that bush for them everytime? You purchase the items you need to win your lane. I keep doing reasonably well in my top lane but then I get the "an ally has been slain" spam and afterwards the surrender spam at the 20 minute mark. Part of me feels I should just become good enough to carry the team but no matter how good you get, your teammates need to pull their own weight too.

In other news, I'm really liking the new Armguard item.
