Why lol. My 3 games so far i've just wrecked people. When I duo with my brother we go against a bunch of bronze 1s and silver 4/5s. I just ban darius evelynn and jax and go to work. Nobody else can really threaten me in the lane and it's bronzies so I don't really run in to people who outplay me.

Ranked is just absolutely unplayable for me right now. This preseason/between season period is some of the worst behavior in ranked that I have ever seen in any period of League's history. Leaving the league system in place was a mistake. Still gaining/losing IP and ranks and tiers perfectly underscores just how incredibly pointless this period is. Throw smurfing into the mix and it's a joke. I'm getting higher quality games in All for One. It's not even about losing. These aren't even games. Gold 1 Lee Sin decides in chat he doesn't like Riven so he feeds a few kills to Tryndamere top and then goes and jungles for the rest of the game while mocking Riven. These people need 2-3 week vacations instantly for that kind of thing and their S3 rewards stripped.

So I play with other RR members and we go 0-3, then everybody else goes to bed so I do solo queue and I go 3-0! wtf guys! I blame Bain for feeding mid lane Brand blue buff in the first 3 minutes. lol! Fun times guys, might have to do that again soon! I still think it'd be fun to get 5 of us and make a ranked 5v5 team just for fun, especially if we all can be in skype/vent.
Either way, plat 1 soon enough! I'm at 68lp atm and I get ~20-25 per win. Although season is ending somewhat soon so I don't know why I'm really still doing ranked...oh well, good practice at least.

Played as Jax last night vs Singed and I must say I am pretty proud of myself, I went 0/1/0 in the laning phase. My only death was when our Jungle came up for a gank and decided to bail on me mid turret dive, so instead of us sharing/trading turret shots I took them all. The worst part was I not only did Singed live our dumbass Amumu Jungler sat in my lane farming with 20% health and Singed came back and killed him. That Double Kill really put Singed ahead but I did not feed anymore and I just focused on my CS, killed dragon and farmed their Jungle to catch up. We ended up getting the win I think I was 4/3/5 at the end, should have been 7/3/2 but Amumu is a dirty KS'r.
I can't wait to get my hands on Yasou and feed with him. He looks really fun.
I really want that new Nasus skin, but I haven't been drunk enough to spend all that RP on him. Also, new singed skin looks hilarious.

Riven doesn't seem very hard to "master" to me. I find her the be one of the easier to play well champs and I'm not very good at this game. No skill shots, has a shield, a stun, a steroid R with a release that is very easy to land. Lee Sin on the other hand gives me fits.
She's not hard to play, but she's hard to master. Because of her attacks, and movement, she is very mechanics heavy. Watch Best Riven NA or Bjerugesen with her to see what you can really do with that champ.

Difference is Yasou won't have all in potential at level 2. His base stats are weak as shit, but because of his crit passive, he needs items to get to the point where he dominates.

Ok but that's kind of any champ in the game minus maybe Tryndamere. If a champ is easy to play well but hard to master, wouldn't that make champs that are difficult to play out of the gate even harder to master? Are there any champs you consider easier to master that are harder to play than Riven?

I think you mean miles between a decent Riven and a Challenger+ Riven. And that can be said for pretty much every champ in the game.
