Get to silver 3 promotion, win one game. Then I lose roughly 11 games(managed to be first to second pick on all of them), and drop to Silver V... so awesome. After my promotional, I keep getting junglers that decide going 1/6 or 0/8 is okay, tops that will go 0/3 in the first 5 minutes, mids that just like to feed constantly. I'll even try to switch roles, and then the ADC will give up first blood, and then bottom lane is already 7/0 before 15minutes. It seems like many people don't know what to do after they die once, they just continue to do the same shit, and continue to die. Fucking ragingly buttmad.

Anyone want to duo? doing this solo makes me want to punt children.
I find that when things like what you mention start happening it's time to take a break from ranked queues and do something else for a bit. Anytime I get more than one game where the things you mention happen that seems to be my entire day of solo queue, even though I am honestly not a toxic player and don't instigate other people. If you are beginning to rage at small mistakes and the like then you are also decreasing your chances of winning, so I try to keep that in mind and take a break when I know I'm just going into the next game in a bad mood(not suggesting you are doing this, just pointing it out - it's a real thing).

In regards to the new leagues system: I like it. It needs a few tweaks to the clamping system that is currently in place and some visibility changes, but overall I like it. I wish they would make your ranked stats page more apparent again - took me a bit to find the "show more stats" button.

I tend not to rage at people, more so silently raging. The team usually jumps into the blame game really fast and everyone tries to bitch at each other, can't really lead a team when people are at each others throats. I just need to find one more competent player. I can play really anything, jungle being my worst.

Yeah, that happens. I find you can sometimes quell it by staying positive throughout the game and trying to make calls for your team, but sometimes you just get that guy that makes everyone into a butthurt rager.

Its so hard for me to play jungler. Jungle isn't my "strongest" role but I am competant at it. When I lane, I assume my jungler won't help me. And I keep that mentality through the laning phase. If they do help im like sweet, bonus!

However, it seems as though when * I * jungle lanes want me to never be more than a second away. Or they cry and cry and cry for ganks and I go to gank, initiate / do damage etc...but those 3 creep kills were far too important to help. I get bot lanes that don't counter ward so the only route to really gank is through enemy jungle when the other team is hyper extended.

I just don't get where this depend on the jungle to win mentality comes from. People blame the jungler for losing lanes. Now if there is some one that straight got counter picked i can understand needing some help, but c'mon. Darius going 0 / 5 to riven in 15 mins is just /wtf

I never assume a jungler will gank, but when I play support and buy pinks to clear the river of wards AND the enemy bot has been pushing onto tower for the majority of the game.. I don't understand why some junglers don't see that as free kills. It's like they get tunnel vision on clearing a wolf camp instead of getting at least an assist and snowballing bot lane. They'll clear whatever camp they were planning to do THEN head over, but the lane has been reset and/or they've warded now because it's 15 seconds too late. Then, they'll leave and be up in top jungle when the opportunity arises again.

Then again, that's the problem with the community in general. Most of them play this as if it's Call of Duty or something, never looking at how to help the team but what to do to help themselves first. Just like you said, when you do initiate, often they farm a couple minions instead of paying attention and going in with you.

I think after playing X games in certain (I guess low/lower) solo queue brackets, and not advancing, you should be allowed to queue up with a premade 5 until you advance at least a few and then you can't anymore until sinking back down.

Problem solved? Or just paid services to carry people up (back to normal-ville)? Meh, I'd take it.

I'm pretty convinced I'll never leave silver. Unless I somehow become pro overnight I'm just not good enough to win these games on my own.

It's really odd down here too. You usually get 2-4 pretty decent people who seem about as good as you. Then everyone else is complete window lickers and the game devolves in to which team has the weakest link. There are no carries or good players, every game is decided by the worst player in the queue =\

I feel the same way. I believe if I actually could stand doing ranked and actually practiced and put forth the effort I could be gold. I think that is my ceiling but I fear I will never see it due to your above described scenario.

Just need to find a good duo queue partner. Most of the pro's even duo until 1800's on their smurfs just to ensure they get out fast. If people like HotshotGG and Regi can be stuck at 1600-1700 elo for weeks to a month soloing then we aren't getting out without help.

I have to do something else, because solo queue is just slamming my dick in the door over and over. Doesn't matter how good I ever do, just cannot compensate for the worst person on my team.

Legendary Vi jungle? Nope, sorry, 150cs Syndra in the 50 minute game is too heavy, down to the literal bottom of silver with me.

Basically what Vimeseh said, grab a friend and play duo queue. At least they shouldn't feed, shouldn't afk, shouldn't suck horribly and should listen to you if you tell them to do something. Also if you're legendary Vi that pretty much means you should be crushing most lanes, which even with 1 slacker as long as the other lanes won it should still be doable. Lastly, don't be afraid to tell your team what to do in chat. Most people don't say shit, or when they do type something it's bitching a team mate out. You'd be surprised how many people will listen to you and follow your lead, especially if you're doing very well in the game.

Once again, reached another promotion series. First match: last pick calls adc after someone who has second pick calls it. Obviously person who is second pick takes ADC(which he fucking sucked at). Last pick rages in chat(mind you I have played 6 games inbetween my last placement match, not a single person acted like this since my last placement series.) 2 roles left, support and jungle. I offer to play either and he can pick his favorite. I picked taric because I was assuming he would rather jungle than support. He waits till it randoms him into garen and says he will garen jungle and that he has only played garen once. He proceeds to feed in a fashion that I can only describe as "stupidly rained chicken wings into subsidized housing districts".

Riot, fuck you.

I would probably take my own advice 1 out of 10 times, but you really should have dodged it.

Dodging instantly loses you the series and it was my first game in it. Second match we won after some heavy carry in teamfights. Third match had a feeding fizz mid who blamed everyone else the whole game. He couldnt have been anything more than 800 elo prior to this.

Edit: I have said this before, but matches outside of my promotion series yield the least headaches because the teams don't feed nor do they need commanding on how to play. Only in promotion series do I get silver5s who don't deserve to even be ranked in this system.

I will agree that not being able to dodge on your promotion series blows.

9 times out of ten pick order is retarded and people only call "Pick Order" if they lose at calling an actual lane.

All Enter chat..

Pick 1: Top / Mid
Pick 4: Mid
Pick 1: Guess I'll top
Pick 2: Mid
Pick 4: Called mid
Pick 2: I was afk
Pick 4: okay, that changes nothing..
Pick 2: Doesn't matter I pick first anyhow.
Pick 4: Guess I get to learn ADC this game! WISH US LUCK!!
Who is in the wrong in this? I guess BOTH parties? Honestly though, calling a lane and then trumping someone else if you called it late is a bitchmade move IMHO.

Even then most the time the person who reverted back to pick order is TERRIBLE at the role and feeds 1/2 the game ultimately causing the games loss.

People that only call one lane IMO shouldn't be playing ranked - until you're in like platinum or up.. you should have a handle on multiple roles. I'm not trying to brag, but usually can top/jungle/support competently, I don't mid really at all but i can fill on ADC on occasion. Both picks 2 and 4 only calling mid and having no handle on any other role is just bad, but not uncommon. I've had a few games where I'm either first pick or last and end up coordinating swaps so people don't get counter picked, but it happens so rarely unfortunately
