I think eventually this 2v1 top/bot strat will need to be countered and more value will be applied to keeping turrets. Turrets going down at 4mins doesn't seem wise to me. Even though its an even trade, it doesn't make much sense to me to do even trades at this level. I think TSM tried to push an advantage by getting the 2nd turret but then Complexity just did same thing.
I think part of the reasoning behind it is not only the global gold advantage teams were trying to achieve but you saw it early on that a lot of the more 'experienced' teams were forcing the laning phase to end early and compete for other objectives, the newer teams faltered and fell behind even when they traded that early turret to each other.

Yea, it's advantageous for older, 'meshed' teams to get into the teamfights sooner since they tend to beat out newer teams at that. Doesn't always work, obviously.

I think one of the big problems with the bruisers is that their base damage with no damage items is too high. They need to do another across the board pass of them lowering their base damage and upping their ratios a bit. That way you don't have a Xin with nearly no + dmg but a ton of tanky items leaping in and still running over your ADC.
Eh. Xin's damage is three hits followed by his ult. If that's gibbing your ADC, then they need to build a bit of defense (ala mogs). His base AD is pitiful for a bruiser.

He's talking early game. No ADC rushes Mogs.

Can anyone suggest a good Cho build? I've been maining with him forever, and I do fairly well, but I've always rushed RoA and I think there must be something I can do to improve my early-mid game.

Nothing that I can think of. Cho's mid game is really weak now, HSGG got a quick wits end yesterday and that seemed to work okay, but it was still meh. He just doesn't have synergy with any of the new popular offensive AP items. Can still get tanky but with all the dashes and blinks the commonly picked champs are running around with his mid game auto attack power with e is pretty much nullified.

LoL that synergy as DoubleLift and Aph disagree on ADCs on camera. Still don't like DoubleLift, he is entirely too full of himself. Don't know if any of you have seen the TSM Gamecrib show yet, but I did find it interesting that when Chaox and Regi had a fight Regi ended up in another room saying if Chaox wants to leave that DoubleLift has already said he would join TSM. Wonder how true that is.

Doublelift actually addressed this with an interview yesterday that Travis (State of the League guy) did. Link if you're interested:http://uk.gamespot.com/league-of-leg...asses-6404604/start's talking about it around 3:00

New patch is out.

More bruiser nerfs but most are pretty small. Nice for Ashe and Tristana to get some love. I really like the huge buff to Blade of the Ruined King. The Taric redesign is interesting. I'll miss the mana regen on hitting but with his kit changes it'll just mean Glacial Shroud and eventually Frozen Heart are must haves. You'll have enough mana to not need the restore on hit, increases damage from his new passive, increases his new armor aura, and CDR to boot. About a perfect item for him now. Even with his damage increase I don't think the changes will allow him to top lane effectively yet but we'll see what kind of builds people can come up with for it.

Interesting. I tell you what, after watching that video it certainly gives me a better understanding of DoubleLift.

@Enob...yes I am debating some builds I want to try out for Taric top now and see if I can't surprise wreck some people.

I don't know what it is.. maybe my mechanics just suck in team fights.. but I never seem to be able to hard carry a game.

Let me give an example.. I'm playing katarina top vs a teemo. I get first blood, deny them tons of CS (I'm up 30 and 2 lvls on them at 12 mins), and just totally bully them out of lane. It's so bad that their jungler starts camping the lane, but thanks to my constant warding he never really catches me. After 15 mins, I don't have the tower mostly because of the jungler camping lane to prevent me from pushing after I get kills on teemo, and even the mid swain coming up to try and gank me a few times (once out of 3 times it was successful, a 3 man gank with the hecarim jungler when he looped around thru red to bypass my ward).

Anyways, I'm like 4/1/2 15 mins in, other lanes aren't doing much but not losing either (though they should be due to the map pressure I've taken off them with jungler and mid effectively camping top). Once I get the tower and we start team fighting, I end up going 1 for 1 in most engagements. End the game at like 8/8/14. Even though we win, I always seem to end games with a score like that (win or loss) and I don't quite get why.

On one hand, I think it's cause I prefer playing a tank or support, and will often engage when I think our team will win the fight, even though I'll die. In the above example, I went tanky kat and would engage when my ult would get everyone really low even if I ended up dying. Team would clean up and take a tower, but my score ended up being bad. Now, I'm not one to harp on KDA ratios at all, but I often 'feel' like I'm the best player on my team and should be hard carrying. If I watch a pro play a game on a smurf, I'll see them go like 10/0/10 or something ridiculous and yet I rarely get scores like that.
Should I just be playing more selfish and cautious? Never engage if I think I'll die even if team would win the fight? Anyone else seem to have this scenario happen to them a lot (ending games with even KDA, though they felt like they were the reason the team won the game) ?

If we won every game I did that, nothing. But, I'll have the same score in a loss or win, just feel like I could be doing more to carry the game in losses. Wondered if anyone else had the same trend and what changed it.

Don't be the one to engage unless you ARE playing an actual tank/initiator. Using your Kat example, your job is to let your team initiate and you target the lowest person when you can kill them, and roll your ultimate/shun-po off that. Learning when to participate in a teamfight was the hardest thing for me to overcome (and I still struggle with it depending on my role.) Just focus on learning when the right time to engage is, and how to not blindly engage when it's not your position to do so. Some champions excel at initiation (Xin, Malphite, Shen are good examples) and some are terrible (Kat, Akali, just about any ADC).

Another good thing is learn actual team fights as well. Just because you play a tank initiate doesn't mean you just dive in and die. Kiting, backing off and protecting carries, etc etc while team fighting is important as well.
