What a night to play League.
(Just random thoughts & recap of my night, also get back on 1st page)
Squeezed in 5 games last night and went 3-2, but just wow. Of the 5 games, I had atrocious bot lanes 4 of 5 times. All the games I won I was able to carry. Had 1 loss where we had 3 inhibs down and couldn't seal the deal too. (Nasus late game, gg)
But before elaborating on the games, a quick shoutout to the awesome League Point system. A few days ago I got promoted to Gold IV. Since then it's been basically 50% win rate, always W>L>W>L>W>L etc. I get 2 losses in a row a couple different times and I'm demoted back to Gold V. This demotion happened after my 1st game of the night since it was a loss and my game before that was a loss lol. So started off the night getting demoted.
What's annoying is I was promoted with 12 games above .500 and I got demoted at 9 games above .500. I'm now at 11 games above and won't get promoted unless I'm 13 or 14 games above .500. (depending if I win my next game and go 2-0 or 2-1 in promos). I admit my MMR is low. It's like high Silver I or low Gold V. My team MMR is hovering around 1400 and I'm usually with other Silvers/Golds. Clearly I should probably be Gold V at best since I rarely get matched with Gold IV and above. It's just stupid to get promoted and then demoted so quickly. It's always annoyed the shit out of me. The ranking system doesn't mean much anyway but It is seriously a mind-fuck getting demoted. Especially if I play a decent game....
Aside from 1 game where I went 14/14/9, my KDA's were respectable otherwise. I honestly thought I was playing with Bronze and matchmaking was broken. I hate when the frustration gets to me and I end up getting all sarcastic/mad in chat. That never helps. I am usually good enough to turn off my anger for the next game though.
I did win my lane in every game. The first game was fun, even though it resulted in a loss (and demotion). Was Diana vs Lux (no new skin, wtf?). This wasn't just any Lux. It was the infinite laugh cocky lux player.
Quick 30 sec Highlight of the annoyance:

People like that don't deserve wins, especially when they feed and still laugh. I teed off with 4 quick kills against her. I ended the game 10/6/4 and she was 5/9/11. Of course my bot lane went combined 7/13/18 vs 19/8/24. Couldn't carry that one unfortunately.
Next game started almost the same, just without the laugh:

So many bad players. I seriously started to question matchmaking by now. The Zed was horrendous. It didn't even matter though becuase this was the one game where my bot lane actually won making it an easy win. I ended 8/8/9 but like 3 of the deaths were at the very end when I was 1v5'ing in the enemy base. We had all inhibs down and my team was doing baron/dragon and didn't want to end it right away. Kinda dumb. I started to get ragey when I my team wouldn't end it. Eventually it worked out I guess. Still aggravates me when teams don't end games, too easy to fuck up and have the enemy wipe you and win (see next game).
Next game as Diana again, really sad loss because we had all 3 inhibs and both nexus turrets down at one point. I fucked up too many times and didn't carry. We died multiple times making a final push (with Baron) and couldn't seal the deal. Late game Nasus would 1 shot my ADC, but that didn't matter as much as my 14 deaths. With 3 Inhibs down we had to end it and we didn't.
My last 2 games were rofl fests. Like wow. And it's why I love this game. Played Volibear Top then Jungle and hard carried both games.
The 1st Volibear game I was top vs a terrible Shen. He was pathetic and fed me well. However, my bot lane was losing hardcore too. When I was lvl 6 the Shen was lvl 3 with 5 cs. I ended 14/4/10 (24/28 kill participation). My bot lane was combined 7/14/20 vs 15/10/20. However, they started the game at like 0/6/0.
It took a while to pull the game in our favor, but here's the team fight it happened (sound was muted for this game, sorry):

And the final game was Voli Jungle where champion select started off on the wrong foot. Ryze was picked on my team and immediately someone says we lose. I comforted them but saying I'll carry. Normally I dont get cocky like that but it actually worked out. Went 10/5/15 and we won. It definitely started off bad, like the other games, until I got some farm under me. My bot lane got destroyed again. The Nami on my team whom said "we lose" in champion select had 3 quick deaths to feed enemy ADC. Normally I don't camp bad lanes but they were all pretty bad, so I camped bot anyway. Only my mid laner was holding his own. Ryze did start off 0/5/0 but ended the game 10/7/12. I ended up tanking 44k damage with only 5 deahts. Nearly 9K dmg per life. It was a good comeback victory.
This final highlight is of the exact moment my team took the lead (kills & gold):
Twitch
It's not spectacular play by any means except it did give Ryze his 1st kills of the game (23mins in, lol). It was an easily predicted gank to counter and then I zoned off 2 players and absorbed 2 ultimates, leading to a won fight.
And that's my story of last night. 4 of 5 horrendous bot lanes. 3 of 5 games carried. Gold rank @ Silver MMR ftw.
