I'm sure people who are good with him will do well but he feels like he's roughly as powerful as Lee. For most people he falls off a cliff and he doesn't snowball hard enough early. And he has mana issues.

His W and Ult both have a high skill curve, his ult less so but still. I've only played him on Hexakill so hard to get a good read since he seems way way better in skirmishes than team fights. I like building as defensively bursty or sustained as I can, like RoA -> Abyssal -> Zhonya-cap-thing, but that's because again, 6v6 is deadly as a melee. On SR doubt I'd get a RoA most games

The fact he can survive is a good sign he can survive a really high threat high team fight mode and contribute meaningfully. I think he will wind up in a very similar niche to fizz in the long run good overall and really good on the right team comps. He is a bit less bursty than fizz but also a bit more survivable and has a bit more team fight utility.

Someone on my team just last picked Hecarim and said "I get to counterpick Nasus". I don't even understand people.

Hec is a counter to Nasus, is there something I'm missing?

edit: apparently the internet thinks different. I've always had success against Nasus with him.

I mean there's plenty of other top laners that are arguably better at shutting Nasus down but yea Hec is fine. Honestly being Nasus sucks right now considering the common line up on top there :p

Hec counters nasus the same way any good top duelist does. The only problem and this is always a problem with champs like nasus and tryn is that you are on a clock. So either your team wins mid game or you get ran over when they hit critical mass.

He cannot duel(and by duel I mean kill one and stop from farming) Nasus at any point post 6. You can't even dive him unless you have a major, major damage jungler to help post 6.

You kill him pre six then. Or force him out of lane two to three times. You can farm while dueling him. If he chooses to try and save q for last hits then you destroy his health. If he uses q to trade then you are stopping his stacks anyway. Beyond that any jungler worth his salt is going to be looking for a dive on nasus at level 3 - 4 anyway. Pre six nasus has no lane presence or real dive defense. If you manage to stop his q farm pre six then you have a four vs five until late game. It's up to your team to win before then.

Say what? He might be pre-nerf LB levels of burst or veigar ulting a super high ap target levels of burst. He can easily outburst a fizz with less setup.

There was a prettygood post on redditabout Ekko's burst vs. LeBlanc/Fizz and unless you land his ult he's below the other easier burst levels. His ult does crazy damage but actually brings his damage in line (but below) other mages from a numbers perspective. He has solid harass despite being melee, which is something Fizz can have trouble doing (unless you can safely Q in -> E out) but LeBlanc can probably do better. He also has better sustained damage than LeBlanc but arguably less than Fizz.

It really seems like he's a lot more balanced than early impressions gave him. I actually wish his passive wasn't on a lockout timer vs. champs - it doesn't alter his burst much (if any) but it makes his sustained fighting less significant, which is the opposite of what he's supposed to be I thought.

I think his numbers are off by a little bit. I had a dragon but the same build and if I am thinking about this wrong 6% isn't going to make a 1k difference in numbers I got. I also looked at it with my build which I don't build GA cause I feel like it is a waste. I wonder if he forgot to factor in the execute passive in his numbers since it is a variable based on champion health? Either way would explain why I feel more powerful than most as I build a void staff as my last item and if you just say no MR I am looking at 5k worth of damage based off a 2k health champion with ludens + LB procs. I am telling you from playing him I can 100-0 without ult as I usually save ult for either big aoe damage or as an escape so I can go in aggressively.

edit- didn't want a new post.....Oh btw for you gilg from riot:

"S+ is top 2% of players atm. It's very hard to get."

As for tips on how to get a good post game score, he noted:

"It looks at a bunch of performance metrics. It does care about cs (for non supports) and KDA. Keep in mind it's also champion and position specific so with someone like Jinx where you're expected to get a lot of kills the grade thresholds are way higher than say Bard."

EULCS loves their Eve... Haven't watched any LCK this split, but I assume it is being spammed over there? It better not just be a copycat from the one MSI game from clearlove.

God this game is cancer for the soul. My last four games:

Double top, last pick takes Renekton, dies 10 times. Game ruined.
Last pick begs for mid or will feed in champ select, we give it to him, he dies 9 times in 14 minutes while flaming the whole time.
Normal game, W!
Last pick locks vlad last pick, goes bot, says he's not supporting, doesn't even start ward trinket. Goes 1/11.

What the fucking fuck.

Right there with you, back in HON/DOTA days I had a wow group that played and played well. Without friends that play this shit is mind tearing frustrating. Course I generally already hated team games since most games are "pubs". Never got over playing shooters, tripling enemy's best person, but then rest of team is like 2:10 and we lose....
