I'm already in to gold 4 after spending months in silver 1.
Yea, Gold seems so easy so far, already Gold I after getting promoted July 1st from Silver. Only took 58 games (37 wins, 21 losses, 64% win rate). I didn't skip any divisions, either. Now to get through Gold I....

2 games tonight.

First with Riven, fucking awful. I'm so bad at her.

Second game with Tryn. I had more fun, but I sucked. But of course I'm playing against a good Teemo for my first game and it was shitty. Still managed to die enough and push lane to distract him once or twice. That's about all the good I did.

I really really like Tryn's kit though.

Word on the street is Shyvana still blows.

The damage bonus on E is alright, but her clear is still slower than season 2. Plus they fucked up her passive and she doesn't get the cooldown reductions on autos for q/w until level 6 currently, which makes her early clear really not so great.

Can we just give her Q a mini slow has trundle has already?

Trynd is fun if you just split push 24/7 and eventually become an unstoppable machine that people have to send 2 people to stop you thus hopefully making your team win. Problem is, when your team can't delay and end up just engaging or getting caught 4v5, getting crushed, blaming you, raging, etc etc. Even when you tell your team not to engage and let you split, somehow, someway, they always start an engage. lol.

I use to always go Static Shiv on Trynd as first item, then usually into IE. Now I tend to grab Bork into either zeal > IE, or just straight IE after Bork, depending on the enemies and if I'm getting kills or not.

Christ, I didn't want to believe that Wizardhawk was really that stupid, or completely unable to take advice (those rune pages make my bot playing self just go WTF dude). Mad props to Fawe for writing up all that info, I've learnt a fair bit more than I knew before. At least I got something out of the walls of text various people have written up to help, it wasn't in vain!

It is nice to see well-written, useful advice filling up the pages, regardless whether the target is listening or not.

I don't know how they broke Shyvana's Q, it worked on the PBE when I tested her and my clear time was as fast as Hec at least, if not faster. Used the wrong runes too because PBE and I forgot to make a page. Shyv is just in too weird of a spot right now but I would much rather they work on fixing the jungle itself first and tweak her later if she still needs it. Jungle is as bad or worse as it was in Season 2 with every change since beginning of S3 moving it that direction, it's boring as hell to see in LCS, much less while playing. The insistence that Shyv needs a soft or hard CC just shows that right now, you cannot be a jungler without that, which is dumb as hell.

I agree with this. If I'm mid lane I usually throw 1 ability over the wall then walk to lane. If I'm top or bot I usually auto-attack 5x then walk to lane (I do actually count to 5).
As a jungler I am fine with it being at 50% or so. As Nunu I want everyone to back off before it gets to 600 health (now 500 with the consume change).

As mid lane I normally miss 0 , maybe 1, cs. As other lanes I might miss 1 but most of the time 0 cs.
When I'm Nunu I actually consume first thing on the golem so that it'll be up just about in time to eat a lizard for the 2nd buff. Is this wrong? Bear in mind I'm usually not heading straight for my red, but theirs to interrupt the enemy jungle.

Maybe go back 3 posts to where I say I bought my rune pages in 2010 before they had seasons, before they had AD runes, before there were websites with rune page recommendations for every champ, etc.

If anyone wants to give me 30k IP to buy some new rune pages, feel free. Otherwise people should probably learn to read.

How do you not have enough IP after all those games?

Played a 3rd Tryn game last night where I just turned beast mode. Unfortunately my CS was low because I had to share a top lane early game where I just went jungle Tryn after that to farm. Game wasn't even fair really because we had a Shen carry the game getting 26 kills.

Maybe tonight I'll get some games where I'm not terrible or going up against a fucking Twitch or Teemo.

Seriously fuck League for putting me up against Teemo for the first time as Tryn.

Hmm, I use to consume 1st too but learned to hold it from somewhere (a stream maybe?). Waiting on consume allows you to benefit from the heal portion which means you could start Boots+2pot+ward since you only really need 1 red pot to top yourself back off before heading over to Enemy Red. I normally don't pay that much attention to Nunu's passive buffs since I usually always have them, but if you are heading to enemy red it is obviously a lizard, so you should be able to get the buff from that. Another thing with waiting on consume is that you can tell your leashers to "please back off before 500 health" and it gets them back to lane sooner. Sometimes people will keep attacking until its at 200 health or less and it just wastes everyone's time. I want to consume and get to the enemy red, not wait for these guys to leave my blue. (I always make sure leashers are away from the buff so I don't share xp, sometimes they stand right on top of it). Just looked at my nunu stats on Lolking and am 9-1 in my last 10 games with him

TL;DR: my experience is you do blue faster and have more health if you wait on the consume.

Seriously fuck League for putting me up against Teemo for the first time as Tryn.
LoL. I swear this happened to me too like my 2nd game with Tryn in S3. I was like "FUUUUUUUU". I'm like 1-1 vs Teemo's I think. I actually won my first encounter with him, just played very cautiously and bought a lot of health pots and shit. I was able to kill him 1st somehow, probably after I hit 6, then just steamrolled from there. Make sure to bait out his blinds before going in on him, use brush a lot to avoid harass, consider going an early BotRK so that he can't out-run you.

Because I have all the champions up to riven unlocked, along with like 8 others out of the ones from riven to aatrox.

This doesn't mean that much, Nunu so OP right now.

I dunno I buy 2 pots and a ward and use bot the pots after the blue camp to end up at above 3/4 health. Going forward using consume pretty much keeps me from ever needed a pot later on anyway. I don't like to rely on their red for the buff because I like to ambush their jungler at Red at the last second to make sure I get the red kill and the jungler, and smite has a larger range for it. I'll try just holding consume I guess and see what happens. It'll make my adc happier I guess, although realistically using it at the beginning or the end still leaves the same amount of time that the adc spends attacking the golem.

Speaking of advice and taking objectives. I had quite possibly my best game as an ADC last night. My score? 2/2/14 with the total kills being around 25 for the team. Why was it my best game? Because I took all of the towers and made some pretty tight plays with Varus's ult.

I had a 5/1/13 game as Taric yesterday. KSed my ADC twice because I wasn't paying attention, but also had a double kill as part of a 2 for 1 when they managed to kill my ADC.

I guess the difference is that I rarely expect to encounter the enemy jungler at their red, so my goal is to simply kill their red asap then gank. There are basically 4 scenarios that play out when I'm Nunu jungle:

Scenario #1: Normal Start, Enemy jungler goes blue then his red, I normally kill his red before he gets to it then I gank top or bot.
Scenario #2: Double Invade, both junglers start Blue, both junglers invade each other's red.
Scenario #3: Mind Games, Enemy jungler starts his red then does his own blue then goes for my red. (He assumes I will be invading his red 1st, which is true).
Scenario #4: Fuck Nunu, Enemy jungler starts his Blue, enemy support wards his red, team is ready to butt-fuck nunu.

Basically less than 25% chance I encounter the enemy at his red since most junglers have the mindset to counterjungle.

I encounter a lot of supports warding enemy red, it is very risky these days as a Nunu and in higher Gold divisions. What I do is look at the support's inventory and see if they've dropped a ward to know. Sometimes I'll abort and go straight for my red. I managed to catch a Jarvan last night invading my red, he started his Blue. I saw the support was missing a ward and decided to abort, I placed my ward in the bush behind my red and saw J4s flag pole go over Baron pit (I was purple side). He did manage to steal my red but we killed him for First Blood. I then went to his red which was still up, he was already respawned and attacking it. We killed him again, it was a 4v4 fight because mid/bot lanes converged from both teams but we won with 0 death. I took his red after the fight. So we started with 2 kills and J4 had 0 buffs and lost tons of xp. From then on we dominated and steamrolled to victory. The enemy ADC even said he was shocked at how bad they lost.

How are you getting nunu in ranked? I do not recall the last time it got past bans in the past 2 weeks of solo que ranked games.
At higher levels people are not nearly as afraid of Nunu as at lower levels. The primary reason being people know how to actually play. For example, the people in lanes generally know to collapse on Nunu when he invades.

its a 50/50 shot, basically i say that i prefer nunu jungle and sometimes the team captain will avoid banning him and might even first pick it for me, if im captain then i dont him ban him and will first pick him, even if im purple side i still take the chance cause i am not really afraid of nunu, ive seen tons of bad ones. ive played nunu 5x in my last 10 games, won all 5
