I'm almost giving up on Yasuo tbh. I screwed with Runes again myself and I also tried stacking Atk Speed, found it ok. Reducing cooldown on Q really is key for him.
Yasuo just suffers from not having 2 of his abilities available most of the time. Whirlwind and Ult are both conditional. Again, I think he really needs to be able to prime up whirlwind without being required to make contact with a creature. The 3rd Q is still a skillshot that can miss which would still negate out his ult. Just too much bullshit to deal with at times. He is a really fun champ to play when he's fed and ahead but super frustrating if he stays even or behind.

The nail in the coffin for me was losing to a yorick top. I was winning laning phase but the fucker roams 1x and picks up 3 kills and I get fucked over hardcore. If Yasuo can't comeback against a Yorick than I think Im done with this. I might just spam Tryndamere the next week to make myself feel better.

Well to be fair, yorick is a motherfucker to lane against. Rain Main has been streaming Teemo for a week straight after playing a lot of other champs for the last month or so. Especially with S4 changes to stealth.

I think the best QoL change we might see is a change to his Ult to a two press system. Press R once and it auto primes your Q, press R again to activate the existing ult.

Happens everytime in Silver, as soon as I picked the champ our Lucian starts raging in champ select. I basically knew the game was over right there. Were you duo with someone? I feel like I was ok beginning of the game until Yorick roamed mid/bot... Fizz died and then bot lane was mad I didnt follow Yorick all the way to bot lane, where he picked up 2 more kills... lol. So of course it was all my fault

With ranked queues down I play my first normal in a long time having given up on them towards the end of the S3. I get handed a lane I'm not great in, get crushed, and see after the game that I got matched against a diamond 1.

And then it all comes flooding back to me. Don't you remember? If you queue for normals you play against diamonds. That's what the normal queue is for you. It's the diamond queue. Ranked games are disabled but feel free to go queue up with diamonds. Maybe they'll tryhard. Maybe they'll troll. That's the fun.

No I wasn't duo'd. I got to plat 3 by basically jungling Vi or Amumu every game but I decided to not jungle in preseason and my mmr has tanked to where I get games with silver/gold all the time. I have been doing lots of experimenting with builds, etc. and I lose alot of the time. And whenever my team loses I get accused of buying an ebay account or paying for elo boosting.

Ha, yea, it wasn't necessarily the game or rage it was the fact a fucking silver II yorick was able to dominate lane after getting a few kills. If I was playing Tryn or a number of other champions even with his 3-4 kills I would be able to comeback against him. I'll likely still pull out Yasuo just cause the induced rage is lolzy.

I am really surprised you fell from plat to my level of MMR. I fell pretty hard but now I don't feel as bad.

From what I remember of that game, the Taric was raging at everyone and he also had the most kills. Lucian raged since champ select. Bad team morale ftw!

Oh also, my Elise was insisting that Yorick did magic damage. le sigh.

Your Elise was mostly correct.Yorick Wiki. His W and E are both magic damage and are both his harass/spam abilities.

I don't really have anything else to add.

edit - they count as large minions for Nasus so he gets double stacks, they also don't count as enemy minions for purposes of coin.

Building straight AP isn't worth it on Yorick, but Spell vamp works well on him, especially if you are already building Spirit Visage. I've built Gunblade on him before in an Aram game and I liked the boost in tankiness. Plus, the clickie is good for chasing carries. Manamune, Iceborn, Visage, Gunblade is a fun build.

Ok so I played more Yasuo! Both times vs Teemo, both games was against the same Teemo player, too.

I streamed the 2nd game (thought I streamed both but ended up not working the first game)

The champion select chat is the typical shit every time I pick Yasuo.

1st Game LoL locked up my PC during loading screen and I had to reboot everything. Got into game @ 3 minute mark, Teemo was already level 3 and had 30 CS headstart. I lose lane obviously. Everyone on my team died 4-5 times to their lane opponents. All lanes lost. Shit game, easy loss.

2nd Game is me against same Teemo. He is duo with enemy Sona whom also is in both games. On my team is a Morgana whom was playing Jinx in the 1st game on enemy team.

In Champ select there is a Leona whom wasn't in either game and is mad I picked Yasuo just 'cause.
Also the Morgana says something like "help top, he got destroyed vs this teemo last game"
(Yay for drama in champ select! - it really does make playing Yasuo so much more fun)

2nd Game starts without any crash issues . Leona is still mad.

Playing against Teemo:
I was going to Tryndamere as I mentioned previously in this thread but I knew I would be facing a Teemo and Tryn is probably worse vs him than Yasuo. I have had some experience against Teemo with Yasuo and know he can't be bullied as easily as Tryn. I still play passive as shit.
With Shield passive + wind wall I can manage to CS decently. I get chunked early on in the game but my reasoning was simply to get his lane pushing my way as early as possible and I also intended to back early on. My goal is mainly to cs at turret until my jungler ganks.
It seems like an eternity before my jungler takes advantage of Teemo pushing all game, but once the first gank finally comes I basically won the lane.
My entire team was winning lanes this game, too, so it was a pretty good stomp, very enjoyable game after getting stomped by almost the same players

I've had so many games with Yasuo where I'm farming between river and my turret or under my turret where the Jungler either never shows up or shows up after 10-15 minutes of an over extended enemy.

Kinda frustrating.

Oh, mids never roam either so.. yeah.
