When I have had time to play, I've played a few Eve mid games, and one top. I actually haven't really lost a lane yet, but I haven't won a lane either. I get a decent amount of kills though. I think I need to by a Hydra first then Tforce.

I think I'll try raka top though this weekend. I'm thinking something like mostly defensive masteries with some mana regen/movement speed in the utility. Maybe 1 pt in offense to help csing. Load up on pene on runes.

Soraka is pretty badass in lane. Tons of sustain, spams that shred, pushes like mad, and her silence hurts once she gets some AP. She's pretty much an auto-win against almost any AP champ in lane.

Was actually a Soraka top in my final game last game. She went against a Singed and it was pretty much just proxy wars. She went Grail > Ryalis > Randuins (had wardens and giants belt) and then we won. To be fair, I wasn't that impressed. Although I'd assume Singed would just do really well against her anyway since she wouldn't have the burst damage to ever kill him so he could safely farm or proxy farm then roam all game.

The massive heals mid/end game are very nice in team fights though. Can't go wrong with the silence or the AoE MR shred + slow(rylais) from her Starcall either.

Really?

I watch him a decent amount and he was melting faces with Soraka top. In fact I think he started of 11-1 (could be wrong though).

He's on now and he just won his last two games. He dominated lane easily enough.

He builds Chalice/Athenes -> Boots -> Rylais

I'd probably build Athenes only against AP, ROA if fed, Tear if vs. AD. He seems to go more damage than anything else building Rylais, Athenes, Boots, Liandrys, Omen.

Why tear instead of morellominicom? AD's be rocking lifesteal in lane-- for me getting grievous wounds is mandatory.

Well he started 0-2 but is now 4-3 with Soraka top so I guess he figured it out. Soraka has always been a lane nuisance though. I've had some Soraka mid laners before and also played against some. Supports in general are always a gimmicky solo lane as they have insane sustain/survivability but even winning lane doesnt mean they can carry

Only her E scales off of her mana, E damage is +40% AP, +5% max mana. Tear is a suboptimal build on 'Raka, Athene's gives better mana sustain and 20% cdr. Tear has less early game sustain than chalice, and sorc staff takes too long to become more gold efficient than athene's.

Sirchez's standard build seems to be athene's -> spirit visage -> randuin's -> rylai's. It's a more defensive focused top lane build.

About three months ago I faced a Raka top as Jax, I fed 0-2 in the first 8 minutes. Then I got some MR and stomped. I should of kept losing. Fucking silence is crazy. I wonder if you build her more focused on hybrid pene for early lane play instead of full AP/mpen. I think Sirchez was using AP quints/blues, mpen reds and armor yellows.

I watched one of his videos on twitch, and he was running 9/21 with hybrid pen reds, armor yellows, ap blues and spell vamp quints. This was against a lissandra, but you're going to rush chalice/athene's in that lane so I guess that makes some sense?

I think most mortals want to have a few setups ready where you can stack the resist best suited for your lane opponent. There are a couple of guys on probuilds doing this, and their builds are all over the map. Some mana regen, some AP stackers. I just think her ratios don't justify the AP. The one time I got totally ass raped was against a renekton, and I was thinking "Boy, I really wish i had more armor." We won the game anyway because our trundle was unkillable with pocket soraka on his hip.

Soraka is weak against champions with burst; she wins prolonged fights where she can stack starcall's MR shred. So it makes sense to build tanky on Soraka, instead of straight AP.

Could you just pick almost any good farming champion and just proxy all day? Singed? Vlad? Mundo?

I had one of my team the other night and she sucked in lane against a Singed, he was crushing her, roamed better and was generally more useful the entire game. The only reason we won is because as the singed was split pushing his AP and Supp got caught and we just pushed mid for the win.
