Yes perspective. In lower leagues, too much weight is placed on counters. There's a common occurrence in champ select chat. It goes like this: "let me play [this champ] so I can counter [their champ]." The team consensus is typical approval. The problem with this is the person wanting to pick a counter usually blows at that champ that's supposed to counter. This usually results in the counter pick losing the lane because the opponent has adversely picked someone they know how to play.Don't stifle me man! That's why I'm posting in this thread. Perspective.
Good post from Plaid. Case in point is I've been playing a ton of WW top lately and the last couple of days I've had to face four Renektons. Renekton being the monster lane bully is considered a very bad matchup for WW because your sustain and trade kills your mana so fast. But because I've learned the laning flow for WW I just work around the trades and fall a little behind in farm. Once I come back to lane with that first buy lifesteal and maybe a giants belt the Renekton who is so confidant of his bully potential ends up getting dumpstered.Yes perspective. If you have been counter picked, it's very possible to keep the lane even by playing passive or simply outplaying....keeping a mind for skill CDs, summoners, a visit from your jungler, minion waves, etc. In cases you are getting the bad end of a trade, you are better being safe and missing out on some CS and basing more frequently than giving your opponent snowball potential from kills.
Its been a thing, jungle Gragas is better for AP jungles though. Kayle is one of those fun champs that goes out of style and then someone realises that her ult and burst is always going to be really really good. So... then we get a couple months of Kayle dominance where they nerf anything but her ult and we all forget about her until 3-6 months have gone by and someone else shows the kayle power again.Apparently Jungle Kayle is a thing now.
Yep. Individual skill and understanding the matchups can overcome being 'countered'.Experience with a champion >>>> counter picks. If you're good enough with a champion, being counter picked is rarely relevant.
Like I said, they'll nerf everything but the ult. When the ult is the real reason that she will always be good. You can always find a way to build someone so they put out respectable damage. Hell look at gutted AP ratio Ali and he can still be played mid to the point where you get LB/DFG and one shot the enemy squishies. She lost like half the AP scaling on her Q on pbe enjoy it while it lasts I guess.
Still a new lvl 30, but why do people tank games?I've been dealing with truckloads of shit lately in this game. Been hovering in Silver 2/3 and most of my groups are made of S3 Gold players. Even still, I've had TONS of teams where a player intentionally feeds, wants to lose, picks a role that's already been picked, and other bullshit.
Yesterday I think I played 5 games.
I actually had fate on my side once and was playing a team where 1 player was intentionally feeding us. A Yasuo that just kept running into our team to die and then he afk'd on his team saying "that should be good enough for a loss". This was great for me because the day before I had a player on my team, a Rengar, that decided to do the same exact shit. Our Jungler tried ganking his lane and ended up dying. Because of the ONE death our Rengar flew off the handle and said "I hope you fucking die IRL. I want you to lose this game. etc etc." He ended up going 0-16 and we did lose, but it was actually kinda close and we nearly won the 4v6.
Another game yesterday, my 5th and last of the day, I am 2nd pick and pick Yasuo to go top lane (mid was already picked). I then afk to get a drink and come back to the game just starting. I walk to our blue buff to assist our jungler... except we have no jungler. Apparently our 4th pick decided he would top lane, too, as Fiora. We were both against a Nasus.
We literally had nobody jungle all game, though once laning phase was over I would clean up the free buffs. We won our lane and I easily outfarmed the Fiora. She had 20 CS while I had 60. The Nasus was outleveling us but we won the lane and even Nasus had less CS than just myself. I 1v1'd the Nasus easily. Nasus was REALLY BAD though, he built AP and was really squishy. It was a tough game and our mid-laner kept wanting to quit but between myself and bottom lane we were able to carry it for a win. Luckily I had a really STRONG bot lane. The Fiora was practically useless. A big turning point in the game was when I was split pushing and ended up killing 3 enemy players by myself as they came to defend 1 by 1. Once that happened my team pushed for an inhib and then it was all downhill from there.
So much bullshit though. Fuck. I've already been promoted and then demoted from Silver 2 like 3x already this season. If I can just get a nice streak of bullshit-free games I could reclaim gold rather easily.
There is no reason but here's my assumption:Still a new lvl 30, but why do people tank games?
