Hah yea. Well the ARAM wasnt so bad. We had the sustain comp vs a poke comp, just lasted FOREVER. I was pretty boned playing Jax lol. Melee in ARAM is brutal. I knew you like Soraka though so I took the trade

Just read over the 4.2 patch notes:Patch Version 4.2
1st pick is randomized now... will be strange. The concept of pick-order gets thrown out the window now. Before at least it was backed up by whoever had highest MMR, now its random. I can see some unhealthy doses of drama stemming from this.
A few nerfs to Yasuo but overall I think he'll remain strong. His flow bar takes longer to charge up, ult range is reduced and stattik shiv passive only crits if the attack crits. Overall this will lessen his powerful *slightly*. Hopefully he becomes less banned due to these changes, because I want to instalok him every game again. I really can't see any of these changes hurting him too much.

They honestly just need to hurry the fuck up with Team Builder, and add some altered form of it into ranked games as well (to allow for Draft picking). There's really no excuse not to. Not only will it increase the quality of the games, but it will also help get rid of toxicity that arises from people fighting over roles, or disapproving of someone's play in a role that they wanted but couldn't get due to being a lower pick.
I really can't wait for team builder so I can test out champs and builds in normal games without any hassle. For ranked, I can really see it being used just to put people together based on role preference, not not locking anyone down.
edit: I'm also interested in seeing the new champ in action. It's been about 2 months since Yasuo was released and I'd like to see some Velkoz. They already started some marketing for him with some graphics in popular streamers streams.

They need to make Dominion ranked already. Not sure how the matchmaking is done currently, but in the last month I started to get paired with a bunch of inexperienced gold/plats and we get matched against unranked teams of experienced Dominion players. Needless to say we not only usually get trounced, but it's doubly frustrating because your teammates don't understand Dominion beyond the basics. Not sure why I get paired with the gold/plats (I'm unranked)-- I figure I would be put on the entirely unranked opposing team. Maybe because they're pre-made?

I have about 525 dominion games played and have been matched with lots of players with 2 or 3 wins recently. very frustrating.
I was in dominion match making heaven a month or so ago. now i have sadly fallen under .500. Too much hash perhaps, or maybe i could blame it on a secret match making change.
Whatever the reason i have definitely seen a huge drop in the skill/experience and general will to win of all players in my dominion games.

Yeah, same scenario-- I was on a major win streak about a month back and the matchmaking seemed to be spot-on, tons of "by the skin of your teeth" wins. Then something changed and now it's always either steamroll, or get steamrolled, but not much in between. Also seem to always get the "i'm gonna backdoor all game with eve/zilean/rammus" player which is always utter fail against anything but newb teams.
Yeah, and fuck the "lol Dominion" players. I fucking rage inside every time someone says "1st time Yasuo, what should I build"? Meanwhile you're getting matched against a pre-made of hardcore Dominion players. GG.
As much as I want it I don't think they'll ever get around to Dominion ranked. They'd have to first balance champs like Fizz or Nid that simply own that map (Fuck Nid sitting in brush all day chucking spears). They started on some map specific nerfs (like to Kass who was and still is stupid strong) a few months back, but nothing since..

Yesterday i got matched with 4 premade friends with 50-200wins and ended up joining them for 5 more games. Our match making was all over the place. The first three games we went against teams with no players who had queued together at all, some with single digit wins, which was of course very unfair for them. then we lost 1 team member and 4 of us were matched against a 5 man premade of 1500 win players that rolled us two games in a row.

Team Builder is initially just replacing the Blind Pick experience. It will be useful when you really just want to play and practice 1 champion without having to fight for roles. Having no bans is painful, though.
I have to admit, I am one of those people. If me and my friends are tired of normals/ranked we go fuck around in dominion or TT.

Yeah seriously, AB was like my favorite battleground in WoW. Although I was a huge Arena nerd so I'd basically only 2v2 or 3v3 all day. I was also a warlock, so it made sense. Gladiator Season 4,5 & 6 baby! I got 3rd in my battlegroup season 6 as well with a rating for 2712. Yes I remember that because I was fucking pumped...lol.
I play Dom for fun, most people play Aram for fun...I'm sick of aram because I use to play it all the damn time with RL friends that I pretty much can't stand it anymore. So usually I do Normals if I'm bored and alone, Doms if I'm playing with friends and Ranked if I feel like try-harding.
