If people want to be on voice that's fine but it's not necessary at all. I probably won't be joining a voice chat for this. I'll be doing stuff between my picks most likely. Drafting is probably going to take an hour+. Probably ~10minutes between your picks. 10 players per roster, 80 picks, looks like at least 1 minute per pick is given, perhaps more. Ill probably be playing LoL while drafting lol.

Damn, brilliant move by Riot, by the way. Say what you want about their development process, they are absolutely smarsh the competition when it comes to social media.

Yeah I checked earlier and they were locked up.

On another note, fuck this drophack. It's getting more and more common.

On a losing streak, get demoted. Play great, about to win, boom drophacked. Fuck Riot, seriously. This is absurd.

From what I've read Riot can do nothing about the drophack outside of banning players who have a pattern of using it.

I saw an article that Riot banned a ton of players doing this and they implemented more systems in place to check for it. Also they apparently adjusted things with Loss Forgiven that might help too.

I'm not a computer guy so I don't know exactly what is involved with the hack. But from what I've read about it, the basic idea is that the person using the hack sends a corrupted packet to the server the game is being hosted on so the server terminates the game or reads it as a game in which all players left and then the game is dumped. Hence no game in match history. So how do you stop that? Maybe the tech guys around here can educate me. I just think that Riot would have done something concrete if they could because the drop hack has been around since S2, although it hasn't become widely prevalent until now.

I haven't looked into the details of how it works either but even if it's using corrupt packets or fake packets, it's extraordinarily unlikely they can't stop it at some point, they probably just don't have the means or know-how at the moment to stop it. There's probably server-side coding that has to happen and god knows how long that'll take given their general infrastructure pace.
