How exactly do these guild invitations work from Adventure Tome completions? I am not sure what doing the quest/stronghold changes.
Ok thanksNew merchants get put into the rotation.
You have to research them first though. You get the invitation, do the quest, then you research them in the stronghold, takes like an hour or whatever, and then they can appear. I unlocked the punika one and got them like 2days in a row constantly which was kinda annoying. I did get some sun coins out of the deal though so it wasn't all bad.Ok thanks
Yeah you're right, but why would Smilegate randomly nerf Feiton or Nineveh gold rep, surely they're not that retarded and don't expect bots are going to spend weeks farming chaos dungeons to get their gear up to get the gold reward from these? Just weird change. The early part is good. Oh and they didn't move the gold, Thirain was 200g and then 500g, now just 500g. Can see old values on Papunika, or on KR rapport wiki I've been checking for gift skips and stuff. Like the fix is great but also late, it's just the side effects are weird, on the later rewards, maybe they automated the changes and fucked up something though. Not that I care much about the gold rewards on rapport anyway. Also, if you think AGS has enough knowledge of the game and its economy to ask for these specific changes... lol? Smilegate had to be the ones who decided what to change.
Ive noticed with a lot of classes, very few are "out of the box" fun and smooth to play. A fresh KT Striker is straight ass to play, imo. But now that he's into T2, he has enough swiftness and proper engravings to make him feel powerful and fast for example. Where on the other hand, Sorcerer seems to start out of the box really powerful and as Ive progressed her into late T2 - she just doesnt feel as powerful as she did in tier 1.I really wish they'd release Destroyer. I fucking hate every single alt I've rolled so far and haven't even bothered getting them out of T1, because they feel like such a "chore" to play. I do dailies with them and that's it. About the only other class besides my main (Paladin) that I've been able to tolerate playing is Artillerist.
Yeah, I think this game somewhat suffers from the "PoE" effect, where a lot of builds(in this case classes)didn't really come online until you had X pieces of gear.Ive noticed with a lot of classes, very few are "out of the box" fun and smooth to play. After 8 alts and my Artillerist main, Im just pretty much in the boat that you need to gear a character into late T2 before you can get a good opinion of how much you may or may not like playing them. I gave the above two examples because I'd rather play my Striker over my Sorcerer and thats not even remotely close to what I thought would happen.

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled about the idea of a "one-hitter-quitter" in Soulfist, but the important part of alts to me is the general "feel" of the class. I don't mind that you have to hit 99/100 Spirit Bombs to be considered "optimal" in raids on Soulfist if I'm never really going to worry about raiding as one. If her general gameplay loop is fun, I don't mind.Soulfist looks really bad tbh, I like the idea but the way it plays looks awful and that's why I haven't bothered with one. Hopefully the KR rework they do move some of her damage from her ult to other stuff or something.
On waiting for T2, I think T1 is fine but you need proper setups right away, which means you basically have to buy stuff and waste pheons even though it's worthless gear. Need to max your main stat, need to get good engravings, have the right runes and then you can get a good feel for most classes. It's easier in T2 though since you just have more stats there. Runes/skill points are also stuff that you'll miss for certain spec, like anything building bars without wealth runes is going to feel sluggish until you have 900-1000spec which is tail end of T2 usually, but with wealth runes it can be enjoyable earlier. And some builds have to use subpar skills until you can get lvl 10 in other skills, so having a lot of skill points unlocked helps a bunch for that.
I know I liked Shadowhunter as soon as I started playing it at 50+, but had it been my first char without my 3 wealth runes, I think I'd have not liked it as much, because uptime on demon form goes in the shitter once you don't have a somewhat optimized setup, and if you play demon form spec but don't demon form often, it's just horrible. The char is hilariously weak in human form with demon form tripods on skills, because a lot of these skills are balanced around having 0 gauge tripods that boost their dmg by 200-300% so when you have the demon form skills instead(which boost gauge but not dmg), they hit like wet noodles. It's hilarious seeing my 1340 Shadowhunter using a 30secs cooldown damage skill and not one shot some Rohendel golem. Chaos dungeons before I transform is like using my entire bar of skills and killing one wave of mobs lol.
Would be nice if the training room when you start the game was the one you get at lvl 30 if you've unlocked it on your account though, could test classes right away.

Art had been my main, but I love paladin playstyle
I'd rather they would have went the direction of adding an extra key for the back step and kept the dodge the same as the other classes on the space bar. Then have both keys on the same CD. But outside of that, I dont mind the class and they can shred shit and take a massive beating in chaos dungeons. So even if it just ends up being a farm alt - you can get your chaos dungeons done quick to feed to another alt. You get 7 character slots for free or from a ticket, so you have plenty of room to expand your roster before needing to use RC's to expand it.I've mained a paladin up to 1000 item level and then used my powerpass for a gunlancer. OOOOOF, super don't like it. Wish I could...reroll.
I was pretty hyped for Destroyer, but not so much now that I've watched some vids. Good overall class, but it seems very, very dependent on hitting a mob perfectly to get the most out of the high dmg skills. Perfectly in that you need to actually hit the mob with the edge of the hammer head (its flat face?), which will give an auditory cue if successful. This guy/vid speaks briefly about it at around 4:10m into the vid:I really wish they'd release Destroyer.
