The FDA needs more executive power. They are so hamstrung on dangerous products and the process is too lengthy. They also should be given the executive power to unilaterally fine a company or shut a company down, given the votes.

Manufacturers have way too many rights and leeway. These types of poisonings happen all the time, but much like the SEC and the Stock market, its just a toothless press release and the company just starts up business under a different name or brand and keeps trucking.

No different than hedge funds and corporate raiders and how they operate with impunity. Bernie where u at?

All I can say is those teething tabs were a sanity saver for us with our son. They absolutely worked for us and we never had any issue with side effects.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Who am I to be concerned about an unregulated industry selling products marketed as medical aids who apparently are also perfectly fine playing Russian roulette with babies because they would rather hide behind fake psudo-science than submit to regulatory tests that would prove their entire field snake oil. Don't regulate me bro, they've only sent a few hundred babies to the hospital and you can still count the deaths on two hands. It's all good.

And the FDA will not.

Trump just issued an executive order instructing every agency to "remove 2 regulations for every new regulation". Trump is extremely anti-regulation and wants every industry to have free hands to do whatever it takes to MTGA (Make Themselves Great Again).

Don't expect the FDA to ever regulate the homeopathic industry for the next 4 years at least.

So you feel we should load up our son with tylenol instead? Would that have been acceptable to you? Funny how you think OTC meds are without their own risks. There are just as many/more deaths/reactions involving tylenol or OTC cough and cold medicine for children than those teething tabs. But go ahead keep gnashing your teeth and spewing your outrage. It's humorous to watch.

At least Tylenol has some semblance of quality control, testing and government oversight, while most of that homeopathy garbage has none.
