I just wanted to add I went with 2 buddies and we all loved this film. 10/10 for me. We also laughed out loud every time that guitar fucker showed up. He was great.

Loved the movie, but...was anyone else kind of bothered that the entire movie was just one big car chase and then it was over?

Yeah, the only issue I had with it was the transition to the end. It was going awesome, and then all of a sudden the badguy's dead and they win. The end.

Everything up to that was absolutely amazing to me, though. 10/11

P.S. Guitar guy needs his own movie.

man i definitely give it 10 out of 10 guitar guys.

I've never seen a movie make such good use of highly detailed customized props, then re-use them over and over. Even more so than lord of the rings.

all the vehicles worked, that amp truck, the doof wagon worked. the thing put out sound, the guitar worked, it really shot fire. It's crazy.

I think the Bolt cutters should be nominated for best supporting actor. they really effecting the plot more than just about anything.

I loved how they had all the different ways to try and stop vehicles. Spike cars, explosive javelin, tow lines, swinging pole dudes, guns everywhere...

Something new was showing up every 20 minutes.

I also loved how you could hear the guitar blasting in the distance as the war boys approached. Suspense, dawg.

When your audience includes hoards of 13 year old girls...
I showed up early and the theater wasn't empty yet, so they told me to go stand in line off to the side. I got in a line and then did the standard check by asking the people in front of me if it was for Mad Max. Guy looked at me with the utmost despair in his eyes and said, "No, Pitch Perfect" and then motioned to his daughters and the rest of the line in front of them. Nothing but 13 year old girls. I was like, "Uh, oh, sorry man."

That being said, I'm gonna watch the shit out of PP2 on video. First one was a good movie.

Pitch Perfect was written by Kay Cannon, one of the main writers for 30 Rock, so it has earned my respect. I wouldn't pay to see it, though.

dang, regret not seeing this in 3d based on the feedback. usually 3d does nothing and just gives me a headache.

9.5/10, great movie, fun from start to finish. i would argue giving Max a few more lines, even inner dialog.

dammit pitch perfect 2 whalloped this movie in the box office
in the Dust with $70 Million at Box Office - Speakeasy - WSJ

budget for MM was $150m, made $45m domestically first weekend I dunno if thats good or not
No hard evidence, but I think that MM will have quite a bit more staying power than PP2.

I saw both movies this weekend and MM is clearly the better movie. I'm a big fan of PP1 and PP2 was good, but not on the same level. It is getting big numbers from people that liked the first one, but I think it will drop quite a bit week over week. Employees of the theater were dressed up like MM characters and were actively hyping the movie and all the chatter around the theater was for MM. I'm hoping that MM is one of those movies that word of mouth helps stay strong.

Good movie overall, although the ending felt kind of lackluster. interesting thing about "the endless salt" or whatever, that supposedly stretches on forever. would that mean that the oceans have somehow evaporated or greatly diminished.

That would make sense. Most likely, if this is still in Australia, that that would be the Pacific. Also thought it was weird they had enough gas for 160 days ride on motorcycles. Figuring at best 100 mpg on a motorcycle, that's like 12hours x 60 miles per hour x 160 days = 115,000 miles. So they'd circumnavigate the world 4 times at those numbers.

This movie was perfect for me right until the very last minute. So you have access to food, water, hot women, security, all in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and you give it up becausereasons?? Mad Max, plz. 9.95/10

Really great movie. I told my wife about the men's rights thing and she asked me what men's rights are. I sent her on an internet journey down the MRA and red pill rabbit hole. I've heard two "what the fuck"s so far.

Why not just get her and Himeo on Skype together?

well, they did spend alot of time making it clear he was Mad.

This movie was fan-fucking-tastic.
lol at the Orkz comments. very true.

(CGI crash at the end was a bit lame. Really stood out, after all those amazing real shots.)

165 days of wood, water, and gas, for 9 people. on motorcycles. hahahaa.

Its post apocalyptic schooling. she can't count.

7000 days since she was taken? maybe it was only 6 weeks.

Fantastic movie. It's not for everyone but I can't think of much they could do better. Awesome dystopian future, action packed and Max is as broken as you would assume. The ending was a bit weak because even a broken man has needs(including rest). 9/10.
