That was pretty fun. I especially liked the total lack of exposition giving a strong "Here be this crazy world: deal with it" vibe that I found very refreshing. Now, I think it's a bit overselling it to say it's the best action movie ever or anything. For my money, it's not even the best action movie of the year: that would be The Taking of Tiger Mountain.

Saw it, loved it, will probably see it again this weekend. One of the top action films of all time! I really appreciated the lack of CGI and the guitar dude.
The strong female lead juxtaposed to the slave-wives was also great. I loved that they had a kinship between Hardy and Theron without having a romance.

Mask.. dunno how to make that and be safe. The guy was painted white like the others. But also blind. had no eyes.
The guitar and HIM were also attached tot he truck via bungee cord. I would include that in the costume.

Thanks man! I should be able to find fabric I can see through for the blindfold. The hard part will be finding someone willing to drive the truck
I'd make the guitar too, at least. I don't think it would be too hard (non working guitar, of course... although now I'm just thinking about Jack White making a guitar out of scraps at the beginning of It Might Get Loud, then nonchalantly shooting flames out of it)

I like this as well. It's shows restraint (from a screenwriter and director standpoint). Obvious romance is always obvious, fucking boring, and adds little to an action plot. You have to sit through "that scene" where the two finally embrace in a boring kiss.
I'm trying to think of other movies where it's more about friendship between the man and woman, versus the bullshit falling in love cliche.

I had actually considered that! Not much of an engineer, so it might be a bit of a challenge for me to pull it off. I also considered rigging the end to hold one of those confetti popper things, but that might be a pain in the ass to reload all the time... plus I'd have to carry around spares

Weird. that last shot I found kindof infuriating DUE to the obvious CGI with the guitar and steering wheel.
