Not sure who you're referring to with your 'you' but she's at least working with the Midwest Innocence Project.

Speaking very generally for the semantically impaired: cases get prosecuted relying on eye witness accounts far more often than they get exonerated or reversed in appeal relying on eye witness accounts.

I don't know the details of that one case, but generally if a case was overturned because of a recanting witness then the case didn't have much solid evidence in the first place and was probably on or over the threshold for reasonable doubt. It's not like a witness changes their story and a killer gets out of prison despite a video showing them murdering someone. It's more like they had a shaky case to begin with, and the case starts to unravel as witnesses are recanting, because it was never that strong to begin with.
Yes popsicle you're correct. When a case is decided via incontrovertible evidence... like a video of it happening, eye witness accounts aren't needed. Thanks for the clarification.

Doesn't seem like Zellner has anything to do with the innocence project. She's just got help from them now that they've realized it's in their best interests (again) to back him.
what i am saying is when i initially read the article about SA's new representation i thought it said so and so from the Innocence Project instead of so and so from here and so and so from there

The point stands that weak cases that relied on eye witness testimony, which is universally accepted as being unreliable as fuck, are often then unraveled by those same unreliable witnesses acknowledging they were not only unreliable but often coached or pushed by the prosecution.

I'm not sure what your point was. You took it as an opportunity to argue with astrosuckerchukcreepbreath and claimed a couple words on her wikipia page were shady and extrapolated that to the opposite range as chuk for the sake of argument. Then when nobody followed you down the rabbit hole you dug in and started arguing every little thing with mostly insults. I'm sorry you were wrong and we didn't get a chance to pile on an argument against astrochuk, as it's an enjoyable pastime. Sometimes you're just wrong though and should take your lumps like a man instead of acting like a bitch about it.

Yeah, she's working WITH the Innocence Project, not FOR them. Woopty do. Nobody cares at the semantics of that argument but Kane at this point because he's trying to do damage control at trying to argue with the Maester and it not going so well.

She probably gets them to change their story based on showing them new evidence. That whole threatening witnesses shit doesn't happen unless you have color of authority or you're the mafia or some shit.

I don't understand where you see hypocrisy but feels data is all we have in this case.
An entire thread refuting even the idea that someone might think Avery was the murderer, then we get this
My guess without any research at all is
followed by multi-paragraph posts trying to defend a stance based on no research at all. Popsicledeath hasn't made this much pointless noise since his mother queefed him out 20 years ago.

And that wasn't a jab at you. I'm saying you're maintaining consistency in that you don't feel like you've got enough data to make a call either way.

I dunno, pretty sure Kane read her whole wikipedia page and it very clearly used words that could mean all sorts of things!

Sometimes you don't have to do a ton of specific research to know how things actually fucking work in the legal field, you fucking moron.

Real talk: If you weren't always so fucking wrong I'd be more concerned with your insults.

Wot? Wasn't, other than this threads term of endearment.
endearing for whom? i see shit like 'lets pile on astrochuk' as anything but endearing. i realize you are warring now with a few posters in this thread, but im not one of them. i dont think i have ever argued with you in any thread , we were probably the only two "haters " during last season's true detective thread. i backed you up more than once.

What have I started? Yes, I believe this woman could very well be capable of employing unsavory tactics and like I said, no proof of that at all, it was completely off the cuff because I secretly hope it's true. I want to see that. Chuk's La Cosa Nostra comment was spot on, that's exactly what I was inferring. That kind of shit is exciting, though not so much for the people involved.

And popsicle... is it really that hard for you to spell my damn forum handle right?

Just like prosecutors and police don't do that on the whole either. Yet... sometimes it happens or we wouldn't even have a thread to discuss such things would we?

I back off the thread for a bit to see what happens and you can't help yourself but to start throwing shit around at different people. Your self esteem really seems to hinge on these forum discussions. I get it; the internet is the great equalizer where disgusting goblins like yourself get to carry on as if they aren't public outcasts. Keep it up

If you're referring to the post he quoted, it was my post (I almost didn't read it thinking it was yours) that he inexplicably used your name in in a terrible attempt at changing my handle to what I can only guess he thinks was a 'sick burn'. In the battle of wits, he's embarrassingly unarmed

No clue what you're on about, but will respond I guess. I think we've argued about some things when it was something arguable, and I think I've probably even said something you posted was dumb when I thought it was, or that you were being a dumbass when you were. Like early on in The Walking Dead. Not that it matters.

If you haven't noticed there's a bit of a game here where someone will disagree with you and other people will pile on whether they're in the right or not because they see it as an easy win. I typically pick my own battles and go against the throng of forum tough guys so am not much for piling on. But I'm sure that played a part in Kanewithoutaneich's responding to you figuring people would just pile on and he'd be absolved of having to actually make sense. Unfortunately he just started making up bullshit because he thought he was on The View and being outraged or scandalous is all the rage.

Stop being so defensive.

He was probably talking about the fact I didn't include an h in his name. For fuck sake you can't even follow along with this thread, which makes sense. I suspected you didn't even read most posts because you typically seem ignorant even when it relates directly to discussions being had right in front of you. Thanks for confirming that.

As to your repeated posts for no other reason to insult me. I find them entertaining as they reinforce my satirical method of making fun of you, but would also appreciate some actual content in them. Or maybe at least start reading the thread and then responding in a way makes sense to the other responses. Either way, though.

Just going back a few pages on the whole cat incident where people want to use that as some kind of evidence of character in relation to the (alleged) murder charges. Just to put in perspective, it was at a drunken party when the guy was 20 years old in 1982. The guy clearly isn't the brightest crayon in the box and the whole town seems like extras cast in Deliverance. Point is, everyone does dumb shit when they are young. These inbred rednecks probably did some spectacularly dumb shit. Especially while intoxicated.

I guess I don't really weigh that incident very heavily, considering the circumstances, that happened ~25 years prior to the TH murder.
